Of course he is lol. Still hoping this isn't the end and just a break. Maybe something will happen next year.
brian is weird. a band that is essentially you, or you and your friends, breaks up.. does that mean time to start a new band this time with real musicians? or is he breaking up with himself, whoever that is? he is a rational man pretending to be a logical man who is trying to be a rational man. ya, weird
You can still be a fan of a band that has broken up or whose run has ended (which may not even be the case here; last I checked hibernation does not equal death).
Also, does anyone refer to this band as "Box"!? For that, and many other reasons, this blog post was a bit of a struggle to get through.
I've been listening to this band since American Art, and while I don't follow them super closely, I've never noticed them referred to as "Box". And for whatever reason it's super cringey to me. Oh well, I just hope this isn't actually the end of Weatherbox. Every release has been pretty great.
The Box will live forever! We already got the band we never deserved, hope there's more to come but blessed either way
Man, I love this band. It's sad to see them taking a break (hopefully for now) but hopefully Brian is feeling better/getting better. Just listened to Love Me A Good Microcosm and I forgot how much of a gem it is.
Super bummed if this truly is the end. Always thought they would get way bigger after touring with Bad Books and The Front Bottoms. Hopefully Brian isn't gone forever.
The way people are talking it's starting to sound like this is more of a permanent ending rather than just a hiatus, and to be honest I am not taking that news well at all.
oh hell yeah, my facebook on this day reminded me about brian's empire pleasure LP and looked it up and it's on apple music! wooooo!!!
Was in San Diego tonight for the show. Will post some more cogent thoughts after I sleep, but in short: amazing show, totally worth the trip! The setlist, for those who care... 1.)
