These new(ish) songs are so quintessentially Weatherboxian that it feels like they never stopped building their sonic world. Shit bangs.

Damn. Here I was stoked to listen to the new YC and I can't stop listening to Weatherbox. What a great surprise.

 

It definitely feels cleaner to me. I need to spin the original today just to see if I just am not remembering it correctly but overall I really like it.

 

I didn’t really notice a difference

Who else has been listening to only Weatherbox the last couple days?

 

I think they’re fairly different but perhaps not enough that you’ll pick up on it if it’s not something you’re very perceptive to. the og master seems more mid-focused, thinner, and generally lacking in low end. imo switching back and forth between the two there is clearly more girth to the bass in the remaster, more depth in general, sounds more scooped in the mid-frequencies maybe but with a wider overall frequency range. I feel like there’s generally more impact to the remaster and I think it is the superior version… makes me even more bummed I missed the pre-order.
