You know I used to work with Mike back in 2010 in San Diego and I’m still friends with him on FB. What’s funny is for the first few years I listened to Crooks on bandcamp (before the actual record came out) I had no idea that was him. It wasn’t till after I moved back to LA that I found out lol

That's dope haha. I met him in Lancaster PA when he toured with YM&EWK and he was such a rad dude, and soooooo funny on stage.

 

Man I love that future crooks record. They put out a song on Facebook this year I think but then nothing else came of it. I'm glad Brian is making music again if only because it means he's in a good place mentally

 

As has been said, it's not strictly Weatherbox - but goddamn, that song is badass! Thanks for sharing, @cwhit!

 

So I finally listened to that new song and while not Weatherbox I still really enjoy it. Love hearing Brian's voice on pretty much anything. Does anyone have any more info on that band?

While it sucks Box will probably fade into obscurity- I have high hopes for Miss New Buddha!

 

I really think they'll be back in the next 5 years at the most, Box needs time to rest, plus when they come back they'll be better than ever.
