Cregger said on The Big Picture Podcast that he also has two other original ideas locked and loaded. So he’s not gonna just be an IP machine. He also said that RE will be completely different from his other movies. So probably not gonna have big twists or anything.
Same. Never seen any RE movies. Never played any RE games growing up because the only person I knew who did was the kid on my block that ate his boogers way too late in life. Talking like up until age 9 or 10.
Are the Resident Evil movies worth watching if I've never played the games but am sometimes in the mood for shitty 2000s action-horror a'la Underworld
in my opinion, no. but I have never played the games. Paul W.S. Anderson has made exactly one (1) good movie, and it was not any of his Resident Evil ones.
I think yes. If you like stuff like Underworld they are enjoyable. The first one especially I think is pretty fun. I’m also a HUGE fan of the games though and couldn’t be more excited for whatever Cregger is gonna do with it.
I'm probably being overly negative, but when I first heard he was directing a 'Resident Evil' movie I messed up in my head and was thinking 'Silent Hill' and I was kinda excited - I also never played those games but I liked the Christophe Gans movie - so when I figured out it was the Paul W.S. Anderson / Milla Jovovich movies I was disappointed
I realized I was being a turd because I'm not a video game guy, but I watched Weapons again, and I am insanely excited to see whatever this guy decides to make next, and Resident Evil sounds like it could be cool as hell in his hands * that was an accident
Just finished it. Loved it, Cregger is masterful with the narration and I found myself laughing in certain scenes so I really enjoyed the wild ride this movie was. Dunno if we need a prequel, not everything has to be fully 100% explained or given a backstory......I am eagerly anticipating what he does with Resident Evil.
Many of you know I teach second grade. Yesterday our question of the day was “what’s your favorite movie?” Most of the kids said K Pop Demon Hunters or Lilo & Stitch but one girl just goes “I don’t know what it’s called but it’s a movie about these kids who run out of their house in the middle of the night and a crazy old lady is controlling them” SHE IS SEVEN lol
yeah, I've been dabbling in R-rated movies with my kids, but so far not any horror. we watched The Birdcage (which I never knew was R) & 1917, and we're gonna watch Gladiator this weekend - but I definitely wouldn't watch Weapons with them haha
