My friend who came with didn’t research the movie at all and figured it was going to be like a war movie lol

That fucking rules and is well deserved. Also gotta be one of the best marketed movies in a while, stand by the poster being a 20 outta 10 in terms of making me wanna see it

audiences crave adult stories done by good creatives. it isn’t that complex. you’d think we get more than 2 of them a year so it doesn’t seem so revelatory when they drop but oh well

 

It had the marketing genius of Longlegs, but with the payoff of being a satisfying movie.

I highly enjoy Longlegs

 

I left Longlegs thinking it was a waste of $12 and my second least favorite film of 2024 behind Joker 2. Weapons I found much more enjoyable. To the people that did enjoy it, hey, more power to you. Just wasn’t my cup of tea.

Longlegs was really fun until it had a dumb ending, Weapons had a great ending and that makes a huge difference.
