I have more faith in Creggers after Barbarian.

 

yeah nothing from barbarian has given me any reason to doubt creggers the same way blackcoats daughter and longlegs did with perkins

In the aftermath of Barbarian's success, Cregger would've found it difficult under normal circumstances to figure out how to capitalize on the moment and get his next project off the ground. However, it wasn't normal circumstances for the filmmaker, who shares, "I had a tragedy in my life that was really, really tough. Someone very, very, very close to me died suddenly and, honestly, I was so grief-stricken that I just started writing Weapons, not out of any ambition, but just as a way to reckon with my own emotions."

Damn. This sounds like it came out of his grief for Trevor Moore.

Not only that, Cregger’s first film was one he co-directed and co-starred in with Moore - Miss March. I get that was kind of a fiasco so it’s best to pretend Barbarian was his “debut” but really, that’s not true.


The premise involving children disappearing out of nowhere at 2:17am also sounds similar to the circumstances around Moore.
