It wasn’t me who originally said it but your comment does make me think that the cop’s POV could have probably benefited from having him be more directly related to the original incident in some way beyond just being Justine’s ex/fling. Like if he was one of the main investigators and the lack of answers led to his exhaustion/frustration with the job, but unlike Archer he’s given up on finding any answers. Instead a lot of his story does feel pretty tangential up until the addict leads him to the house
The Donna scene is really good because it’s shot very well, especially after following the backs of heads so much early on in the movie. So it’s a change of pace, ratchets up the tension, and we don’t know who this woman is. I thought it was an angry mom about to attack her.
Guys I’m being hyperbolic, but I really do hate going pee during a movie! Don’t make me post the dumb Jeb meme again.
When I went to see Dune 2, my friend who is a huge Dune fan went up to pee during a slower scene, and about 10 seconds after he walked out it transitioned to what was clearly the first sand worm riding scene. He came back in right before Paul made the move to jump on it, and when he realized what he was missing he visibly freaked out and nearly ran to his seat
