One of the very few times I could see the b-sides winner make it far in the Championship, maybe even win the whole thing.
Current scores: Ludens- 6 Don't Look Down - 0 I could end it now, but I'll start the Championship in the morning.
All these songs have fought hard to earn their place in this bracket and now they will have to fight even harder! It's time for: THE CHAMPIONS BRACKET: Round 1: Drown Vs. Chelsea Smile Mother Tongue Vs. Shadow Moses For Stevie Wonder's Eyes Only (Braille) Vs. It Never Ends ¿ Vs. Ludens
Drown (Chelsea Smile was never one of my favourites on Suicide Season. Still love it though.) Shadow Moses (Classic banger) It Never Ends (Love Braille but It Never Ends is their best song. Period.) Ludens (It's good)
Drown (This was a bit tough for me as it's a newer favorite vs. an old favorite! I'm going to go with Drown because I think it's a really well-written song and I like how emotional and catchy it is) Shadow Moses (I like Mother Tongue a lot, but this was a pretty easy decision for me as Shadow Moses is an all-time great song of theirs) It Never Ends (Very easy choice for me - this essentially has a bye this round) Ludens (I really enjoy ¿ but this was another easy pick for me) ------------------- I think the final two rounds are going to be very difficult for me!
Current scores: Drown - 4 Chelsea Smile - 0 Mother Tongue - 1 Shadow Moses- 3 For Stevie Wonder's Eyes Only (Braille) - 0 It Never Ends - 4 ¿ - 0 Ludens - 4
Drown - Such an awesome song. The emotional depth is astounding, and is probably the most important work of their career. Shadow Moses - This song is classic. It's catchy, it's heavy, and it was really boundary pushing at the time it was released. It Never Ends - This song SLAPS. No two ways about it, this combines all the best elements of the band's sound. The orchestral hook, the crunchy guitars, the sing-screamy vocal mix, it just goes so hard. Ludens - I love this song so much. The lyrics are enthralling, the atmosphere is so dense, and that chorus is MASSIVE. Plus, who doesn't love a big breakdown?
Drown (Chelsea Smile is a classic but it was never gunna win this one) Shadow Moses (really hard one! SM is just more dynamic in the end) It Never Ends Ludens
Current scores: Drown - 7 Chelsea Smile - 0 Mother Tongue - 1 Shadow Moses- 6 For Stevie Wonder's Eyes Only (Braille) - 0 It Never Ends - 7 ¿ - 0 Ludens - 7
Drown Shadow Moses It never ends Ludens. Almost voted against it but ¿ is just a little too repetitive.
Final scores: Drown - 8 Chelsea Smile - 1 Mother Tongue - 1 Shadow Moses- 8 For Stevie Wonder's Eyes Only (Braille) - 0 It Never Ends - 9 ¿ - 0 Ludens - 9 Semi-Finals: Drown Vs. Shadow Moses It Never Ends Vs. Ludens
drown. love shadow but its middle-tier on that album for me. it never ends. ludens is good but not this good.
Drown (This was a tough one for me! I really enjoy both songs a lot, but I'll go with Drown because I think it's a bit more catchy and emotional) Ludens (Another tough one! I'm going to go with the more recent one because at this point it's everything that I want out of a Bring Me The Horizon song. Its breakdown is my favorite moment in either of these two songs and if I'm being honest, I've always found It Never Ends to be a bit overrated. It's a good song, but there are a few songs on that album that I'd rank above it)
