How many clicks through YouTube’s “Up Next” recommendations does it take to go from an anodyne PBS clip about the 116th United States Congress to an anti-immigrant video from a designated hate organization? Thanks to the site’s recommendation algorithm, just nine.

As tends to be my reactions to most stories about these platforms, if Twitter, Facebook, etc. have gotten so big that their excuse is they can't manage their own reach and content, then maybe they shouldn't be offering the platform. If you can't manage your own product, then maybe it has no business existing. But they take no responsibility for themselves.
