I remember Saint Cloud being so immediately unimpeachable. You get through “Oxbow” which is a cool misdirection, and then you get the 4 great singles and go hmm maybe this thing will be front loaded and then you get two trilogies of incredible runs. An uptempo run of Hell>Witches>War and then the slow down of Arkadelphia>Ruby Falls>St. Cloud. Somehow each set of songs is better than the last.
My record finally shipped! Not going to be here until Saturday though but that’s better timing than my usual preorders lol
Haha I know, after I made the joke I was like yea this doesn’t work, but was too lazy to change/clarify. Folkenstein? Is this something?
Anyone have any inside info or speculation on why she's playing her record release show in Chicago? Not that I'm complaining.
So it's part of a sober concert series that was started in January this year. Lala Lala played the Empty Bottle earlier this year as part of it. They still sell alcohol at the show but promote the mocktails. That's the best connection I can make.
Got the shipping notification yesterday for my signed vinyl. Looks like it won't arrive til next week. Excited nonetheless!
Early standouts including singles: 3 Sisters, Ice Cold, Right Back To It, Lone Star Lake, Crimes Of The Heart, 365, Tigers Blood Edit: Adding The Wolves to the list.
