it's so funny how much her audience has shifted since her indie days, though. me and my wife were probably the only people under 40 on the barricade.
American Weekend is an album that means so much to me that it’s basically a piece of my heart. With every album of hers, I’ve been reluctant to declare a new “best” or “favorite” because of how dear I hold American Weekend, but after just a few weeks with the new one I think I’m ready to do it: Tiger’s Blood is my favorite and the best Waxahatchee album. It’s the perfect distillation of everything I’ve ever loved about her music and songwriting, showing serious growth while losing none of the emotional impact I associate with Waxahatchee. I’m so excited this exists, and I can’t wait to finally see her tomorrow evening.
she’s playing orlando next week :0 would really like to hear about that busted truck in opelika in person
She was AMAZING last night in Boston. The crowd was also great. Easily the most diverse age range at a show I’ve been to in a long time.
There was a song on the playlist before her set that mentioned something about a tornado in Tennessee and someone moving to New York City. Do any of you have a clue what song this was?
had a waxahatchee shirt on at Isbell's fest in AL a few yrs ago and everyone who commented on it was 50-60+ haha
