Yes this is fantastic

 

Listening to the stream. I'm only onto 8 Ball and I'm already in love with this record.

I felt compelled to listen to the demo record first for some reason. Will check the album proper later.

 

Gave some of the demos a listen. Could tell a difference, but it's not very noticeable. She could have released the demos and it would have the same positive reception from me. hahaha

 

This is goooood

 

It's right there with Big Thief as my AOTY. I wasn't expecting this to be anything too special in relation to their discography and it somehow turned out to be their best.

 

finally had some time to sit with this record and I love it. recite remorse will always leave my jaw on the floor.

 

This is such an excellent record. Her best since American Weekend imo. "Recite Remorse" reminds me of Yo La Tengo circa Painful which is so to my sweet spot

I like this direction she's going in. The fuzzy guitars work so well for her.

Recite Remorse is a standout

 

recite remorse directly into sparks fly is a standout section. I keep going back to the whole album, but those two songs in particular.

 

First album I've listened to and I absolutely love it. Need to go back and listen to the discography now

I really like when she goes more ambienty with the synths/organs

 

This is my favourite release of hers since American Weekend.

 

Late as hell pass on this record but daaamn, it's great. I've never heard anything from her that was less than awesome

She’s doing a tour with Hurray for the Riff Raff. Should be great.
