This band had been on my "I know you exist and maybe I'll get around it it eventually maybe" list for a long time. I accidentally listened to Silver because it was on my spotify release radar. I have fallen for each of the singles on the very first listen. I am very excited for this record.
No better time to do a discography dive! Ivy Tripp, Cerulean Salt and American Weekend are all beautiful records.
Cerulean Salt knocked me on my ass the first time i heard it. Seeing her a few months ago was a similar experience, and next month will be my first time seeing full band waxahatchee :)
This might be my favorite one released so far. Just sounds like a classic Waxahatchee track. Can't wait to hear this whole thing, she hasn't let me down before so I have hiiigh hopes
I listen to American Weekend on a week(end?)ly basis. It's one of the best albums to tap into a particular mindset. Happy to see more coming this year.
she's on the free monthly summer concert series in baltimore next month i'm stunned, she's about a billion times better than anyone else on the bill
I did not realize this was out so soon! I had gotten the release date and their August show here mixed up.
might be missing her tonight, the weather pushed the bands to one stage and she's going on at 5:15 :(
This is so much more focused than Ivy Tripp, which now feels like growing pains. This could be her most realized effort.
The first 3 are perfect to me, but I especially love the growth she had on Ivy Tripp so i'm really excited to sit down with this.
I love all of her stuff, including Ivy Tripp, but this is definitely the most the full band sound has worked for me. It's got a good balance.
