Didn't expect an album so soon, but nice. Actually nevermind, Ivy Tripp feels like it just came out last year but it was 2015. The wait didn't feel that long.
Song sounds awesome, John Agnello has touched many of my favorite records of the past 10-15 yrs so that's a very promising sign. Wasn't super into Ivy Tripp but I listened to Cerulean Salt like once daily back in 2013.
curious to hear opinions about the lena dunham thing. i know a bunch of people who are done listening to katie because of her decision to defend her placement on the tour. i'm of the mindset that she's doing it for the cause and the other people around her other than lena, but i'm curious what people think here
I agree, plus Lena is annoying but it's not like she's evil, Katie isn't working with Chris Brown etc
i know a lot of people are bringing up the story she relayed about kissing and touching her younger sister when she was a child. it's a sensitive topic and i don't know all of the details but i know that is one thing people are bringing up as reason to boycott
im not done w waxahatchee or anything, but saying she's doing it for xyz and not for lena dunhum seems like a weird defense bc it still benefits lena dunham. at the end of the day, making choices like everything is black and white is unrealistic, and i think katie didn't make a terrible decision -- lena dunham's white feminism aside, this is still a good opportunity for a larger inclusive platform. however im still just a cis dude and really a woman's take on this would be better and more helpful since they'd have a better perspective as someone who is more largely affected
Very good new track that is not on the album. Watch Waxahatchee’s Video for New Song “No Curse” | Pitchfork
