waveform* - Antarctica (May 12, 2023)

Have no idea how I missed this, one of my favorite bands right now. Desperately want to order the vinyl, but shipping on the Run For Cover site is fucking $8 for a single LP

 

Yeah, this is very good as expected, but this band makes night music for me so I need to listen again when the sun isn't out and also when I'm not stressed out at work. Some of the instrumentation reminded me of Modest Mouse on this one

 

I've had a lot of trouble connecting with them in the past but I think this one is very good. "clarity" is fantastic

 

Diving in now and the opening track is lovely

 

Oh man, really? library is definitely Alex G0lite (which I love) but I think they've gotten better with each subsequent record (need more time with this one)

would really encourage anyone who likes this to listen to Last Room ("Hello Goodbye" is SO good) and then Shooting Star

 

this is kinda giving me teen suicide vibes.

 

Been listening to this one a lot lately, "Lonely" and "In My Drink" are all-timers. "Ballroom" too
