I get where Lindelof is coming from, and the idea of a bunch of different creators doing their own spin on a Watchmen sequel sounds cool in theory, but I don't see how it doesn't end up getting driven into the ground. maybe do like a 6 episode mini-anthology series, where each episode is a different creator telling a different story in the Watchmen universe?
It worked pretty well with the Mandalorian with Star Wars. They had an overarching vision and Favreau and Filoni were heavily involved but each episode had a different director who kinda each had their own vibe and feel to it while it all felt cohesive at the same time.
Just finished a rewatch, and yeah, this show was so good. I still have some nitpicks about the finale and feel like an extra episode could have helped things breathe a little more, but the rest of it is too perfect for me to really care. It's still bizarre to me that Laurie and Jon don't really acknowledge each other other than Laurie quietly whispering his name. Seeing even a small emotional reaction from Jon would have been a little nice, but I get that he's moved on with Angela.
Totally fair lol. I’ve been designing emails since like 9am so my brain is friiiied and I got lost in browser tabs.
Emmys 2020: Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross Win First Emmy for Watchmen Score Well deserved, can’t believe they’re one Tony award away from an EGOT.
I’m glad at least this year some of my fav shows are getting multiple nominations in a single category thus upping their percentage (ie Watchmen, WWDITS).
