I'm not even a big Watchmen fan and that trailer had my HYPED

This looks so Damon Lindeloff I’m so happy

 

My only knowledge about this novel is the movie so I can’t tell who anyone is supposed to be in that trailer because none of them look like the movie characters haha.

Was Irons supposed to be The Comedian or Ozmandias? I assumed the latter at first but the robe at the end threw me off.

 

The latter, the comic begins with the Comedian being killed.

 

This looks fantastic, I can’t wait.

i guess that white supremacists are targeting police in the show, which is lol-levels of annoying but hell i'm gonna give this a chance because fuck if i didn't love the leftovers.

 

OR....we actually watch the show and see how it plays out before getting angry and hitting twitter with our takes and threads on a piece of media nobody has seen

 

Doesn't the first trailer imply that the police chief is part of the white supremacist Rorschach group? It seems like the producer is just saying there's a twist and things aren't how they seem, without giving spoilers away

 

I'm sorry but I don't see how anybody hears "let's talk after YOU'VE SEEN ALL THE EPISODES" and thinks "HE doesn't get it UGH" and not "Oh maybe it's not how it seems, maybe it plays out differently."

There's so much fuckery to be furious about these days, to channel any amount of that into a piece of art you've only read a synopsis on is fucking baffling.

I wouldn't be surprised if the plot is that the racist police chief forms the white supremacist group of Rorschachs as an excuse for the police to wear masks to do whatever fucked up shit they want free of consequence. That's the vibe the trailers gave anyway.

 

Yeah, I am not saying it's going to be bad or that they won't find an interesting way to turn that plotline, but i'm just saying that based off what they said about it, it's annoying.

 

Meh that’d be my answer to anything If people were asking about certain themes or plot points to my show. Watch it first fool.

 

If your reaction to the notion of police and white supremacists being diametrically opposed forces somehow isn't at least a cast-off "that's annoying", idk what to tell ya.

The execution is hopefully more nuanced than that, and i'll watch to see if it is. But, so far, the plot line we've been told about sounds dumb.

I trust that Lindelöf will have a much more nuanced take on this than that synopsis hints at
