Me at the end of every episode of this show: I had a feeling Cal would be more important based on peoples speculation throughout earlier episodes but I didn't think they'd ACTUALLY take it in this direction. Next week can't come soon enough.
Not sure how they're going to make sense of the character of Manhattan willingly taking a human form/forgetting who he is, but every time I have doubts this show more than blows them away. This is by far the best thing on TV right now, IMO
33 when he appears in Saigon, which is always considered the "Jesus" age. I feel like Calvin Jelani has a little bit of a Kal-El ring to it ("the superman exists and he's American") but that's sorta a stretch.
Apparently there was literally a movie in the 70s called "Abar, the First Black Superman" Lol damn there really were so many hints
Do we think the video shown of giant Dr. Manhattan in Vietnam was actual footage, or some reenactment? I thought the VFX looked kind of unimpressive if that was supposed to be legit
Also one thing for us to keep in mind: Will told Lady Trieu that Angela will hate him when all is said and done. There's definitely more to Trieu's explanation. Makes me wonder if her and Will are also planning to kill Dr. M
Ok started watching this. Crushed Up playing at the start of the first ep, show of the decade confirmed
