Anyway I don't dislike this show at all so far I think it's pretty good but I'm not sold on the politics yet. Makes me think of something I've said before that I would love to watch a hard right wing show on tv that was also very good art, but that was before Trump so maybe I should reexamine that lol
I thought that was very intriguing. Like do people call Dr. Manhattan like he’s God and ask him to save little Timmy dying from cancer or something?
He definitely staged the attack at the funeral to make himself look good, right? That was the first thing I thought after the episode on Sunday.
Rorschach just misses actually being a boomer by a couple years. I looked it up and he was born in 1940.
Listening to MCR non-stop lately and I forgot about the Desolation Row cover they did for the movie. So at least something good came of it.
Yeah cool Lindelof is still Lindelof Almost jumped the gun there. Not gonna watch this. At least right away. Also when I say "hard left" I mean Alan Moore. If the show is leftist, it's Lindelof reflecting Moore, not Lindelof suppressing his centrism
How many posts about how you’re not watching the show in the thread do we really need man? It’s fucking good. Watch if it or don’t but the preening is too much.
Wtf does “Lindelof is still Lindelof” even mean? The guy who made The Leftovers? Yeah, it’s one of the best shows. This is also great
Episode 3 was great, once again like the The Leftovers I feel very confused by the end of the episode, not exactly knowing what's going on/where it's gonna go. Seriously have no idea what's going on with Veidt. In did look like in that one shot that you could see the Sun and another planet in the background, so I guess the implication is he might be on Mars? would explain the "captivity" thing and the clone guy freezing to death wherever he sent him. Also need to look at that shot of him riding to the buffalo fields again because it looked like some desolate landscape in the background which could be Mars. So that would mean Manhatten is keeping him on Mars? Who is the Game Warden? etc...so confused! The Laurie Blake character is good. I'm interested to see what has her so jaded about masked superheros since she used to be one. Obviously still has a thing for Manhatten, interesting that she doesn't seem to upset about Night Owl being in prison. Still harbors hate for Veidt too. Definitely looking forward to her and Sister Night interacting more. Def feels like Senator Keene is part of the 7th Kalvary. Just seemed way too.....nice? The preview for next week just confused me more TBH lol
yeah. the weather looks like late summer/early fall and yet the water in the background is frozen mid-wave lol and the dude was frost-bitten to death. it’s definitely mars.
