I was pretty let down with the premiere after people hyped it so much but I enjoyed the second episode more. I'm definitely invested, annoyingly so. I kind of wish I had waited so I could binge it
super annoyed no one irl is watching this. feels like the best genre thing HBO has launched in years. should (hopefully) be a hit but idk if it’s caught on yet.
That 43% audience score on RT probably doesn't help. People suck. At least we know that Lindelof only planned for 1 season, so we don't need to worry about it getting canceled in the middle of some big mystery
God it's gonna be like The Leftovers isn't it where the only people my wife and I can talk about it with is each other because no one else is watching it even though it deserves higher ratings
Second episode was interesting. I'm glad we got some backstory on the White Night. Still have no idea what's going on with the old dude and the chief and the Klan outfit. I do agree with the idea that he may have been the 2nd Kalvary member in her house, but he was also injured and claimed he shot one in his own house, so I'm not sure what to believe at this point. I thought the old dude was gonna be related to her in some way but also didn't expect an answer on that so quickly. So I'm intrigued with how that's going to matter the rest of the season.
mmmmm that Hooded Justice scene was sweet. I have no clue what the hells going on or whats gonna happen but Im all in on this.
Bald Move is doing some great discussion podcasts for this if you need more of that content Watchmen | Bald Move
scum who advocated positions adverse to the interests of his union and who also believes in using his status as a showrunner to silence criticism of himself from within the industry
Just watched the second episode and, while others have said you don’t have to read the book or even watch the movie to understand what’s going on, I really think checking out the source material genuinely enriches the experience here. There are whole shots, story beats, lines of dialogue, etc. that directly reference the graphic novel, right down to episode 2 mirroring chapter 2 in the book in various ways. I’m really fascinated by this adaptation.
I’m only halfway through the pilot but I am SO JN got up tot the pod and yes this is my favorite new show of the year
I keep hearing that tonight's episode is fucking crazy from reviewers and that if you're still unsure about the show, tonight should really be the episode to make your final opinion
