FYS’ mix sounds so much better than it did in DC.

 

Gogol ending vs cobra would be suchhhhh a win for me! Id like to see cobra but that's such a fun way to end warped (if I was there). Gogol side stage

 

For local guys, I’m stunned they were side stage and a band like Honey Revenge (no shade, they were great) was main stage.

 

Snagged their setlist last night, swung by their meet and greet to get Will to sign it today and close the loop on a personal bit of Warped Tour lore for me: 20 years ago, I downloaded a leak of Chroma (after someone posted on AP.net that it had leaked) before seeing them play Warped in Cleveland. They introed a song that wasn’t out yet and I knew the words from the leak, and Will shot me the dirtiest look from the stage. Today I got to apologize to him for downloading the leak and he told me that it was their last show on the run and they were tired and wanted to go home, so he apologized if he was rude. We shook hands and called it even.

 

Has anyone uploaded any of these sets anywhere yet? I’d love to catch the LTJ, Goldfinger, Pennywise, AAR, and Sublime sets I missed from yesterday’s stream.

 

I’ve seen rise against a bunch of times live and watched a bunch of live streams but that was ass. I haven’t heard Tim that bad in a long ass time. Don’t know what the hell he was doing on swing life away or the whisper parts of Satellite

I was shocked when I saw what stage they were on. They had one of the longest merch lines the entire weekend, too.

I ran into Cove near the end of the night and he said it was the largest crowd Saosin has ever played to.

 

I tried leaving VIP as Blessthefall were on and it was a nonstop stream of people trying to get into GA and VIP that wasn’t moving.

 

I ended up sitting on top of a picnic table inside VIP for Saosin’s set because it was the only way I could both see a tiny bit of the stage and not have my already broken leg crashed into because of how many people were crammed in there. One of my friends who also had VIP said they stopped letting people into Beatbox VIP halfway through Anberlin’s set because it was so crowded.

It took me 30+ minutes to be able to get out of VIP after because of the sheer volume of people in that area.

 

You weren’t the guy in a full left leg/knee brace sitting down, were you?

They were definitely restricting VIP during Anberlin, I had them and Blessthefall mixed up. I left after Four Year Strong a few songs into Anberlin and it was backed up with them not letting people in. It took forever to leave and when I finally got out of that area there was a just a mass of bodies trying to get in for Saosin. I’ll have to watch the stream to see how big their crowd was.

I don’t think I could have survived the weekend if I didn’t have VIP, even if I had two fully functioning knees lol. It was way too crowded.

FYS were awesome, btw.

 

Didn't know until today jxdn canceled without no explanation. Apparently he's been doing this lately

I didn’t stay for them in DC, but Honey Revenge had one of the biggest small stage crowds I saw the entire weekend. Weird of them to flip the script with Saosin as the locals, but I also imagine there’s some strategy to overloading smaller stages before headliners take over the main ones.

Sweet Pill played before and conflicted with Saosin, who apparently had a massive crowd, one of the bummer conflicts of the weekend.

 

So, did anyone go to both DC and long Beach? How did they compare?

 

Long Beach was way bigger and felt a lot more like a fest with the Warped branding, DC was a bit more like the OG warped experience. It’s all rad though and tons of people had never been before. I hope they keep it up as an annual run.

 

Definitely wondering if they’ll bring it back to LB next year. They were pretty quick to announce that it’d return to DC in 2026
