Wasn’t expecting LTJ’s set to be over 45 minutes. That was pretty cool.

 

I looked out of curiosity on Friday and saw tickets for $74 on stubhub lol

 

it’s so funny because i agreed but then seeing Memphis May Fire on this live stream, they’re just killing it. i’d check their recordings out after this set if i didn’t know better.

 

I’m watching some of MGKs set on YouTube and I honestly don’t think it’s too bad.
But I see that The Maine were playing at the same time….and I totally would’ve picked The Maine as my headliner

 

God damn, this is like the Super Bowl of Wonder Years sets.

Wow, I was curious if Asking Alexandria would do anything special for it being Warped so I tuned into the stream and boy did they not lol, looks like the same exact setlist they've been doing for previous shows and only contained like, 2 songs that were relevant back when Warped was still a thing so people going here would want to hear. Although maybe that's a good thing considering those two were not performed super well, I guess he just doesn't really do uncleans anymore?

 

it’s pretty well known throughout the metal community that he could care less to try anymore, and basically just does it for the money.

I feel like they proved why they’re one of the best live bands around in this scene. That’s a BIG stage and they killed it.

 

he just sings poorly and collects a paycheck. i legitimately don’t understand why people support this band, it’s like the opposite problem from taking back sunday because instead of being unable to sing old songs but still trying to perform them, he just refuses to perform them and then complains that no one likes their new music. the biggest problem with asking alexandria is that they changed their sound and did it really poorly. the original comeback singles with Danny were actually really well done, imo. Into the Fire & Alone in a Room both were catchy and done well- but every single after has been just sooo bland to me, and it seems i’m not the only one.

 

Oh no yea I actually enjoyed their self titled, although there were a few songs on it that weren't great. But after that it just got really bland, their last one was sort of better than the previous ones after self titled but still has nothing on their earlier stuff

 

Avril Lavigne brought out Deryck to do In Too Deep. Insane surprise!

 

Funny to see that people are blown away about the fact Bowling For Soup played the Finneas & Ferb theme song. Like dawg, they literally play that at every show

 

Urethane, We the Kings, The Wonder Years, Motion City Soundtrack, Hawthorne Heights, Comeback Kid, Sweet Pill, Boys Like Girls, Nothing Nowhere, Simple Plan and Avril Lavigne today.

Biggest highlights overall were The Maine, TWY, MCS, Cartel and Boys Like Girls.

Most surprised by Nothing Nowhere (way more gnarly than I expected), We the Kings (way more fun and better non-hits), and Urethane (been a bit since I’ve done the more classic punk sound).

Not disappointed with any performances, but it seems like Scowl is really figuring out where they fit in. Movements tour was another weird one, even if they sounded great.

I’ve reflected on this weekend more on this as a DC person, knowing that RFK could do more cool concerts and festivals like this, and that so many bands who played tend to overlook DC specifically for whatever reason. This may be an outlier for “what DC is made of” because it’s a big event, but I’d like to think DC showed how fun it really is to play and be in.

 

Honestly it was so funny having the tiles just squirt mud at you every two seconds. There was also a huge mud pit right by the exit that looked like it went pretty deep.

 

Was checking tickpick on the journey down on Friday, was below face value all day, sometimes below $100. Saturday shot up but was less tickets available then, didn't check the official tm exchange at any point tho

 

Probably, I am going to assume there isn't any for long beach than anticipate and be a little disappointed when no bands get announxed
