Starting to have doubts about Bad Religion getting added to LB. They just started selling a shirt with 2025 tour dates at their OC show last weekend. All dates with DKM are listed on it, but no Long Beach…
Yeah that’s also what I noticed too when I looked at the poster again. I was getting too hopeful again…
I’m curious bc the Drain dates that just dropped have 6/14 and 6/15 blocked out for DC Warped, while Gami is playing a Richmond show on 6/15. Split would make more sense either way, might just be a graphic thing for Drain
Yeah, Drain probably can't reveal which date they're playing yet if it doesn't affect their routing, but Gami kind of has to because they have another show on the other day.
Yeah in 2019 bands weren’t supposed to reveal what date they were playing until warped tour announced it themselves.
Kevin was on idobi radio today, some highlights: - Expects WWWY or others to do marketing around Warped Tour dates, similar to what they did at WWWY - Announcing bands up until the week of the tour - Acoustic stage expected - Canned food drive is happening - 80k Long Beach, 40k DC, 75k right now in Orlando, ~5k tickets left - Potential book signing area happening (In talks with people like Deryck from Sum 41) - first band Kevin talked to was A Day To Remember at the July 18th LA Forum date - NASCAR sponsorship was free. A bunch of drivers are fans of the tour - Working with the cities on planning; expecting 80% of audience to be in line when doors open since no schedules will be released until day of - Agents submitted artists that would be interested, Young Gravy was interested, they sent an offer and he wanted to do all 3 shows - Warped will probably never go back to a full cross country tour. Kevin has had 7 surgeries since the tour ended. Physically can’t do it
Why does Kevin think that he personally has to go on a full cross country tour? Can’t he just delegate that to an employee or something? Fly in when something is REALLY bad?
no he said he wants to be the one when doors open to let the people in, and answer the problems, and have the water on his back in the middle of the day for everyone, etc.
Just noticed that Body Count is playing this festival in Denver which is the same weekend as LB Warped. Since they’re playing that on Sunday (27th), then this means that both Body Count and Ice-T are playing Warped on Saturday (26th). Big ups to Ice for pulling double-duty the same day
So everyone on Summer School is on the LB lineup according to a reply on Instagram. Weird the poster isn't updated yet and no room for Taylor Acorn on this current version
I know they're not on the poster, but with Kevin saying they'll be announcing bands up till the week of the shows, I'd be stunned if they're not on Long Beach considering the other two parts of their summer tour will be going from Reno -> Long Beach -> Oakland, there isn't another SoCal date on their tour with Dropkick, and Bad Religion are local.
Yeah that’s why it’s so odd to me that they’re not playing. Everyone on that tour lineup but them is playing LB. Plus with their history with the fest, you’d think they’d all be down to do it. Unless if maybe there’s something on their contract with the guys that did Lucky Punks that’s stopping them? Because they were a headliner?
Also, if anyone is interested, Jaret from BFS is doing a Reddit AMA on the Warped Tour subreddit in two weeks
