Says it’s Live Nation backed. I’ll reach out to a contact I know there for info. also means it won’t be $40 :)
I mean, Warped wasn't even $40 the last couple of years, 2018 I think it was close to $70, and prices have ballooned since then
Can’t wait to be disappointed. Bummed it will probably be the death of WWWY - was hoping they’d continue with the album play gimmick
This will have to be a somewhat premium experience (therefor, over $100). The warped demo is older now and not necessarily one that is going to stand around in a parking lot with the some beating down on them to see Mayday Parade and what not.
If it's a regional 2-date thing like 2019, then yeah, it 100% wouldn't be $40 anymore. Hell, it was $60 day-of in 2017 for an average date of Warped Tour. The idea is going to be "get a lineup that justifies people travelling" which means bands like Blink, ADTR, 311, The Used, etc. It'll definitely be the equivalent of another Adjacent Fest with Warped branding, which I'm fine with.
I don’t see this being the death of WWWY at all. We are basing this all off one dude on FB. If it doesn’t happen next year that doesn’t mean the death of WWWY.
What bands would / should make a return for Warped Tour? I wish ETID would get back together for at least this, there is no other heavy band that I can say are the definite Warped Tour veterans like them. Blink 182, Thrice, Rancid, Rise against, My chemical romance, Taking back sunday, Bad religion, Thursday, The offspring, Less than jake, Pierce the veil, Enter shikari, ADTR, The devil wears prada, Pennywise, Avenged sevenfold would be sick. Obviously depending how expensive they want to make this return.
