Yikes. It was inevitable when the Warped account called him “their king” back when the Warped reunion was announced, but still a horrible booking that shows Warped Tour hasn’t grown in terms of being aware who it books and not booking shirty people since it ended. I am sure a lot of bands/musicians have no interest in playing Warped Tour, but still, there’s definitely acts out there that could have been booked over acts like Attila and Falling in Reverse.
Ronnie in the announcement video said “we’re probably gonna be playing last and probably gonna have the highest merch sales of the entire thing so bottom line is if you don’t like it you can leave before i play”
Ya that was extra cringe lol and the Warped account is trying to hype up the announcement in the comments, just embarrassing all around
Aren’t each band playing both days of their city? That’s the impression I got unless it’s been stated otherwise
25 bands left for DC and still in the single digits for bands I would see, all of which tour regularly
A few of the announcements this week (MCS, Cliffdiver, Origami Angel) are bands I'd want to see in DC. So far nothing that I'm going crazy over, but I'm a few metro stops away from the RFK Festival grounds, so it really couldn't be any easier to attend.
Unrelated, but there was some talk about radius clauses earlier. The Maine are playing at the Let's Go festival in Annapolis, MD on June 6th, I'm sorta surprised they're still able to do DC Warped a week later.
Right now I count only 11 bands I’d be interested in seeing in DC, but 9 of those names literally come to town twice a year anyways. And aside from Avril they’re all usually pretty reasonably priced tickets. Only interested in 6 names for LB so far and 10 for Orlando.
So far it’s pretty much what I expected it’s a way bigger version of sad summer which is fine as long as you don’t need to fly in and stuff like that
I just realized that if Falling In Reverse is a headliner for LB, or at the very least a sub headliner, it feels kinda weird to announce it on a Saturday afternoon when social media engagement is at its lowest
There’s still 40+ bands to be announced for LB so I should be patient. But as of now there’s only 9 bands I’d be interested in seeing on the entire lineup. It’s kind of hard to be optimistic about it.
FIR being a headliner in LB is best case scenario. Means I can bounce early and try and and see MCR at Dodger Stadium
Theres a lineup I really like this year of small to mid size bands scattered through out these three dates. I think so far im excited for 8 bands in Long Beach. Last time Falling in Reverse played at Warped Tour they played towards the end and I got to beat traffic.
