I did see the lineup a month or so before it was finalized but there were a number of changes to Orlando since then so I dont want to make any comments about anything but Orlando at this point. but one thing I will say is one of the shows (and im unsure which) is most likely getting Jelly Roll playing a set with a Pop Punk band but it had been up in the air as to which of two options
Does Jelly Roll have some history with the scene im not aware of? Saw his named mentioned a few times as a rumored act
not really no. Just a dude whos a fan of the scene and wants to be a part of it. Unsure if the post tour is fucking with this actually happening or not tho. It had been deep in negotiation
Im now thinking A Day To Remember, All Time Low, Four Year Strong, Killswitch Engage, Machine Gun Kelly, Falling In Reverse, Sugarcult, The Wonder Years, Less Than Jake, Boys Like Girls, Save Ferris, Mayday Parade, Bowling For Soup?? (added later?), Plain White T's, Yellowcard, Tokio Hotel, GWAR
and i havent kept up on the public announcements so didnt know if any of these had been announced prior. But what I was told by someone who 100% would know.
I was just thinking that someone from SWS recently left that band to join his so I don’t think we could have both made that up.
What about thrice for long beach? Them and avenged sevenfold would have been perfect southern california bands
A7X said that their show with SOAD in Chicago this summer will be their only show of 2025 Also, I think A7X is in the “too big to play this” category
I’m pretty sure FIR opened for A7X on their tour last year. Would say Avenged is much bigger than both those bands
If this like up ends up coming to fruition, that’s solid. I’m going to Orlando and I wouldn’t hate it.
I’d probably sell my LB tickets and go to Orlando if that plays out that way. Unless a bunch of bands on that list also played LB
I can confirm that there’s at least one band playing WWWY who are not allowed to play Warped in Long Beach due to the radius clause.
A radius clause is not a hard & fast rule, it's a clause that every individual contract with the bands and festivals will have. Obviously a headliner would have radius clauses that may last longer and cover more distance, whereas smaller bands might not have them at all. They may only cover festivals, and not one offs, they might have holdbacks from announcing shows nearby, it's all a fluid thing
The band I know of isn’t really near the top of the bill for WWWY but is ahead of Red Jumpsuit / Destroy Boys (at least if we’re going off the poster and their placement); I imagine they’re held to the radius mainly because they don’t play very often and WWWY wanted to keep the exclusivity. Totally get it and I hope it doesn’t affect things too badly because there’s a few WWWY bands I were hoping would make an appearance at Warped LB.
Feels like we're officially over that initial hump of small/unknown acts. Cautiously optimistic again.
