I gave them a very solid chance cause I like Corey and Slipknot and can honestly say they never would have been signed if it wasn’t Corey’s kid. To me they are very meh
Turns out warped tour was very smart to presale before a lineup because I don't think they would have sold out if it was lineup first
Seriously. Even when we do eventually get their "heavy hitters" announced like the rumored Good Charlotte, Avril, MGK, Thirty Seconds to Mars, NFG etc, it wont be strong enough of a bill to have sold 50,000 passes per city like they did based off of blind faith. Actually someone keep me honest, what is the capacity of each date?
Mind you I got tier 1 tickets but my 2 day pass to Warped Orlando cost me less than my 2 day pass to Four Chord last year.
Oh wow that's alot. 80k is more than Govball's cap and on par with Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo's cap. They could've booked Blink 182 as the headliner (they didn't) and you still would've been able to get a below face value ticket to this. I'm expecting to see a storm of $100 passes hit stubhub next month.
I was bummed that warped wasn’t coming near my state, but after seeing the bands so far I don’t mind that I’m missing out
How ya know blink isn’t confirmed? Just bc mark said no doesn’t mean he isn’t lying lol could be a surprise
There is a radius clause preventing any WWWY acts to play the Long Beach Warped. Plus their name doesnt fit anymore on the DC lineup. But more importantly, a stadium level band who probably has a booking fee of 2 million is not going to be playing a music festival where the ticket prices were $150. The booker would never make their money back.
That’s a massive bummer if true. Lots of bands on WWWY that I was hoping to get announced for Warped LB. Is there any confirmation on this?
I’m curious if they intended to announce Avril today, or if dropping her name today was sort of a last-minute Hail Mary because of the backlash they’ve been getting for the lineup
the whole lineup will be out in a couple weeks and they are sold out so i dunno if they really care about this "backlash"
