Funny thing is this lineup seems like it was built for a younger crowd but it sold out based off nostalgia and ticket sales from the 30-40 year old millennials lol
It's at a strange crossroads. Cause it's 100% for a teen audience. But there also not gonna travel and spend 200 plus for this. As everyone says I was a teen when I went to warped tour. But It was 30 dollars and 40 minutes from my house. It's a different beast for current teens unless you live in the 3 cities it's by.
It’s exceptionally weird booking a lineup catering to teenagers and Tiktokers and then adding 311 as a headliner.
Yeah so far is this is really only catering to current teens, and people who attended Warped around the early 2010’s. Not a big dose of “old school” on each city
this lineup wasn’t even that bad, they had some top tier hardcore, he just relied heavily on nostalgia in the marketing, hinted at certain artists (none of which he had), and was charging Coachella like prices for this.
I counted how many bands on that Bamboozle lineup I’d actually care to see. Friday - 3 Saturday - 2 Sunday - 7 Pretty bad lineup
The first day of that Bamboozle looks absolutely awful. Day two could’ve been a fun day of Limp Bizkit, Bad Omens, Scowl, Say Anything, Mayday Parade and Spill Canvas. Day three would’ve been fun seeing Finch, Papa Roach, Saosin, Valencia, Saves the Day, Gridiron and Callous Daoboys. …..but not at the $450 price tag it had.
I forgot that shitshow was $450, that's more than what I paid for a 4-day pass for Lolla. I think there are people who are still waiting for refunds
Bamboozle was cancelled but yeah, officially worried about this warped lineup. Maybe selling my tickets and hanging with friends in southern cali instead isn’t a bad alternative at all
Yeah, my initial instinct was to make fun of the people complaining in their social media comments who seem to have thought that Warped, a fest that historically prioritized up-and-coming bands over big ticket headliners, was gonna have arena-level bands. But even by modest standards, I do think this lineup has missed the mark so far. As you all pointed out the demographic of people who would appreciate this lineup, doesn't square with the demographic of people who would travel to see a Warped-themed fest. A lot of the bands on this lineup were barely even formed when the last Warped Tour happened. Of course, we've barely seen half the lineup, and I personally really like it and would've paid full price if any of the dates came within driving/amtrak distance of me, but I do stand by my assessment from months that launching ticket sales before the lineup announcement was a scam, and people shouldn't have bought tickets without knowing what they were getting into.
Using the word “scam” is pretty messed up. At no point did they lead anyone to believe anything that isn’t true?
