They can't figure out how to use ig live lol. But the band is most certainly wcar, they just followed them on the account Playing just DC
I have to assume some bands can be guessed at this point based on the posters being alphabetical and the length of the blacked out words
Fishbone is going through the comments of their announcement post on Instagram and roasting anyone that’s bummed about the lineup so far. It’s kind of amusing
I gotta say reading every comment on these announcements has been entertaining, people will nottt stop complaining lol
I’d commented on some random’s Twitter post complaining about the mini announcements and how they were clearly designed to not overshadow the smaller bands and that someone was going to discover Drain or Honey Revenge for the first time if they didn’t recognize the name. That got a like out of Andy Hurley’s wife Meredith (Millionaires) which got me wondering if there’s a reason she’d be reading through Twitter threads with 50 comments.
Lb definitely getting the punk spin. Whats funny about this Warped Tour reboot is i feel like there's a lottttt of people assuming this is going to be an emo wwwy type thing but like...for half of Warped Tour it was more of a punk thing so.... honestly it's probably gonna be a good mix.
I feel like no matter what the lineup ends up being there will be backlash that there is too many similar bands that play When we were young already and there is no need for warped tour or not enough and that they are putting on too many old school punk bands or too many new bands
What’s funny is the line-up so far is pretty much exactly what I expected. And it’s pretty representative of all eras of the festival.
I am starting to wonder what exactly the stage lineups will be like. We know that there will be four side-by-side stages (making it 8 total), but how are the bands gonna be grouped? I’m curious to see if they do it by genre/style or by era. Like, I could see them doing an “old school” section of the fest where DHC, Pennywise, Fishbone and 311 will play. But I could also see them doing it where they put together all the punk/hardcore bands together, so like, Pennywise and Drain will be in the same area. Or if they’ll resurrect the Monster Energy stages and 333/Miss May I/Drain will be part of that stage lineup?
Based on the quantity of bands listed on the posters, I'm wondering if the days will be short, if the bands will get longer sets than the old days, or if bands are playing both days. Feels like 8 stages rotating, 10 hours, would be 80 bands.
I can’t remember where I saw it, but I did see in an article that 311 is a “headliner.” So I’m curious if most acts get a 20-30 min set and then headliners get a 45-50 min set?
I’m assuming it’ll be similar to the 2019 shows where main stage bands played about 30 mins and then later in the day the sub headliners (good Charlotte, 311, the offspring) got 40 mins with the headliners getting more. I think ADTR played an hour and blink got like an hour and a half if memory serves.
I could see that as well, but they said they are bringing back the inflatable lineup, which made it sound like there wouldn't be a headliner in the same way, but maybe they find a middle ground and still have the biggest acts close?
