Y'know, I think what's fucking me up is that ALL played a song that I had somehow coded as a Descendents song in my head on some live Warped Tour thing from '98... Anyway. Good to know!

 

I hope Turnstile and Bad religion is on this

If you’re not getting the big guns for your Warped revival, then why even try? Like I’m sure there’s cool bands waiting to be announced but like what are waiting for? You got three dates, announce the lineups now.

 

4 out of 133 bands confirmed I don't care for, omg the whole damn lineup is a bust! Lol I love reading some of the ridiculous comments for this and when we were young when it was first announced

 

It’s like three dates and largely sold out, staging the announcements is pretty lame honestly.

 

I’m not going to any of these, but I’d be very happy with 4/6 artists announced so far. I’m sure there will be plenty of awful shit, but it’s off to a good start

 

Warped has almost always done things this way. It’s designed this way to give smaller artists exposure and give people a chance to discover something they might love as opposed to lesser artists getting lost in the fray of a big drop. There’s nothing really lame about it

 

@Baddy Daddy I get hating to wait to see the whole lineup but if what Kevin Lyman said happens we'll be getting daily lineup announcements, also it gives some a chance to really check out bands they might not know instead of just focusing on the ones they do

 

It shouldn’t tho, it’s like a festival thing now and staging announcements like that is goofy. Just reveal the whole thing, people are gonna pay so why stage it out? None of these bands announced are particular unknowns to the age demographic so how does that ultimately hold water?

 

They announced a relatively unknown artist today that would have absolutely got lost in a full announcement

 

That’s great but that doesn’t mean you have to stage out a lineup for three dates, that’s just weird.

 

Festivals announcing bands in a staggered manner like this isn’t a new thing. Plenty of fests do it over time. At least this is daily for a set period…

Also: This line-up isn’t for me this far but there is no way in which this was a “bad” reveal. Reaction seems pretty positive thus far, TBH.

 

99% of people complaining all about this online arent even going. its super annoying to read through especially when almost all the complaints were laid out from the beginning and how warped tour usually operated lol

 

It has been one of my favorite things leading up to Warped Tour in the past seeing what are the weekly bands that were announced, personally if they announced 133 bands at the same time i'd probably focus on the 30- 40 bands I might know and like and not have as much motivation to really check out the whole lineup

 

I would’ve glossed over Chandler Leighton. Checked her music out tonight, it’s cool. Might catch her set now. Job well done by Kevin and team.
