I think he meant not WWWY in a sense that they’re not going to have million dollar headliners. He also said all bands will be selling merch just like the used to, in their individualized tents not as a big festival merch station like at WWWY.
people have seemed so grumpy about it like they want it to fail if they didnt choose to get tickets (not saying thats everyone) but ive noticed that across the internet)
The same thing happened with When we were young fest, so many were desperate and foaming at the mouth for it to fail. From what i've seen most didn't even bring up the actual valid criticism unique to either fest. Instead they argued about misinformation they heard and didn't bother to research. I'm talking mostly about what i've seen on social media. Not wanting to buy tickets to Warped tour because the lineup isn't out is totally valid, being upset about a lineup that isn't out is kind of wild though.
I'm still confused why they are still calling this "pre-sale". Is just the pre-sale sold out with more tickets being released later or is that it?
this is it. alot of things sell out during presale these days. there is a waitlist so im sure if they open up some more after realizing they can up capacity or people cancel payment plans those will go to people on that
I absolutely hate the fact that they didn't announce the lineup first. One of the very few dates is local to me (DC) but I never went to Warped in the past unless I liked the lineup enough and I didn't trust them enough to have one I would like enough upon returning to bring myself to want to buy tickets, especially for that price Festivals trying to sell tickets on the strength of their name/reputation without a single act announced is pure bullshit imo
oooo what an edgy take! See here is the thing, A: a lot of people didn’t get that $150 deal, b: If you live close then yea it’s a good deal, but for someone like me the whole weekend would probably cost around $800. That’s if I got those $150 tickets. So like cool for the people that will like the lineup, but I shouldn’t have to cross my fingers and hope that my $800 is worth it. Especially when if it’s just a lineup of smaller currently touring bands playing 30 min sets, might not exactly be worth the travel and money. People can feel the way you feel, and people are allowed to feel the way a lot of folks feel, but you being an asshole about it doesn’t really help vindicate your feelings.
I gave my feelings and other people gave their own not sure why that makes me the asshole but you do you lol also just fyi you can book hotel and air bnbs without being out money and can cancel if you really want
to each their own, I’ve kept my opinion out of this entire debate (other than the one of hating festivals for selling tiered tickets to a travel fest before any lineup has been announced) but like that comment of yours was def antagonistic and there is no one that would ever say it wasn’t. So I called a spade a spade, I generally hope you have a great time and get your money’s worth. But what people in those immediate areas and what I would have to spend to go is not the same.
