yeah i mean $150 for this is one of the best deals (assuming lineup is even halfway decent) that ive seen in years
To be fair it wasn't $150 for a lot of the people that bought presale, this tier pricing thing is kind of bullshit and one of the worst aspects they got from When we were young ( I don't remember if they did them in 2019) for some this was almost double the cost of Warped Tour 2019 Again if Kevin Lyman wasn't involved I wouldn't have spent the money without a lineup, but based on the last Warped tour and decades of lineups being great, I got a ticket.
Yeah i'm in the same boat.. i bought a ticket pretty confident that there's almost no way I dislike all ~100 bands. Even if I only like 15-20 of em, which is probably a conservative estimate given past Warped Tour lineups, then it's worth it. Frankly given that i'm 30 years old now, I prefer to only see maybe 6-7 bands in a day and leave time for food, drinks, relaxing a bit.. not packing in 12 bands in a day like the Warped Tour days of old lol
Because I think we should expect more from this industry? If people sell out tickets before a lineup even drops, the organizers are getting the message they can put any slop together and people will eat it up because it has the "Warped" name on it. Like I want this iteration of Warped to be good! If the lineup is amazing, I'll consider going to a date. But all we know about it now is that it will probably have Falling In Reverse, which is a bad sign! There are tons of bands and live music opportunities in the world right now that deserve our support! Why would so many people rather spend money on a product that doesn't exist yet, just because it has a nostalgic brand name attached to it?
Because of 25 years of lineups? If the lineup is terrible (it won’t be) then they won’t have a leg to stand on for future years. but this was basically the same price as sad summer tour is I mean cmon
I know they do but it is still such bullshit so is dynamic pricing. I can totally see in what aspects Livenation took charge in changing up. I'd be nice if they kept prices lower for the ones who showed up early to presale and then increase the price if they were, hours later or a day later.
That would be ideal. At least the price hike wasn’t much compared to others. In the times of paying 60-75 bucks to see a show in 1-2k cap rooms it’s a bargain either way
The prices are still pretty cheap and i'm not super upset, but I can say it is a somewhat a valid criticism especially when a lot of us defended that it was going to be $150 and that it only went up $25 from the last one, but yeah a lot of shows nowadays for even mid size bands are like almost $100 after fees even though that might also be slightly or definitely because of Ticketmaster but touring is more expensive now than many years prior
Is it just me or is it not that weird to buy cheaper $150 tickets before a lineup and then just sell them to someone else if the lineup's just not your thing
this is literally what some of my friends are doing. We’re Canadian and making a trip to Orlando out of it. But 2 of my friends jumped at the cheap tickets with the thought that if the lineup isn’t great or if something pops up they’ll just sell the ticket.
As someone who lives like a 20 minute metro ride away from RFK I was pretty willing to take the gamble on $150 tickets.
Yep... it'll work once for the organizers if the lineup sucks, but if the lineup is good, it'll continue to work well. Look at Bamboozle - nobody is going to buy tickets to that if they do it again
From what I have heard some of the rumors are true about FIR but there should also be 2 other bands labeled as headliners... Unless I was told wrong, expect the following. Not everyone but confirmed. Falling in Reverse Alesana Blessthefall The Haunt Asking Alexandria Black Veil Brides Silverstein Escape the Fate Scary Kids Scaring Kids Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! Jamie's Elsewhere Hot Mulligan Enter Shikari The Wonder Years
The only acts on that list I'm mildly interesting in are The Wonder Years and Hot Mulligan, but they both tour through my city like 3 times a year lol I know that's only like a fraction of the full lineup, but yikessss not off to a good start.
From my understanding it is going to hardcore cater to the 2010-2015 era of Warped which is when Warped felt it was most successful. Hopefully I am wrong.
I've got to imagine bands like PTV, SWS, ADTR, ATL could be some of the other possible "big bands". Blink playing WWWY - would they do both?
I stopped going after 2012 because that's when the lineups started looking too much like the list of bands you shared haha.
I was only asking because of the costs. There's gotta be more to the list for bigger bands than what I listed to charge that amount. Thought Lyman is in love with Radke so. Who knows.
