I won't expect Blink 182 level bands, but I'd be perfectly happy for a day at the beach with Less Than Jake, The Starting Line, or Alkaline Trio. Them partnering with Insomniac on this at least puts some weight behind it.
Won’t be an issue. You can sell tickets on Stubhub whenever you’d like. The person buying secures the ticket and the seller uploads it the day prior. It’s a digital copy, so no problem
Not a guarantee at all, we don't even know the level of bands, new bands, old bands, anything. HUGE chance the lineup is shit. A festival with 20 years under their belt know for their lineup curation, art installations, food and beverage quality, camping and sense of community. This is not a good comparison
"New to who" is the question you have to ask. Hot Mulligan would be a sick get that I could see being a "new" band even though they do 2000 tickets a night now but are "new" to an older crowd.
yes I understand, I am saying we don't know what that means, how much of each, what level, or anything
I’m not sure why anyone would expect the lineup to be shit like it’s some brand new thing without a track record
I think considering the price point and people being outspoken about warped the last few years your big acts could absolutely just end up being falling in reverse, slaughter to prevail, ice nine kills, and sleeping with sirens. im not saying I won’t end up going but tickets, hotel, etc is a lot to ask without any lineup or direction of lineup.
I actually forgo they did a festival thing, that lineup isn't bad at all. The actual tours though, were very bad by the end
Alright, Riot Fest does the same thing. They run a batch of lower priced tickets without a lineup announced and then prices get more expensive once the lineup is out. Tickets for this year's Riot Fest went on sale for their lowest cost in December 2023 and the lineup was announced in June 2024 (and the day by day lineup not until July 2024).
Anyone know if livenation ever confirmed to be heavily involved other than rockfeed initially confirming it? Insomniac partnered with emo nite for events so maybe some acts that did does might appear: Emo Nite & Insomniac Present GRAVE at The Torch - Los Angeles Coliseum Said The Sky/ Nurko possible EDM artists for the lineup (state the champs / we the kings also played) Unsure if Insomniac have anything to do with it but Emo Nite have a December mini festival Emo Nite Day – Emo Nite 10 Year Weekend Cobra or 3oh!3 for more "electronic" type acts would be fun bookings. Just throwing out possibilities haha
Kevin said there would be a few edm acts on the lineup that fit the vibe So probably said the sky and kayzo
Porter robinson was also a semi edm act that would make sense in my head. now that his music is more owl city metro station vibes these days. Even plays with a band.
hard disagree. If you get rid of the artists who played only a day or two of the tour, it is pretty bad Riot Fest, like Coachella, has years under their belt and a curated experience that attendees have participated in, and know they like, and have trust in the festival based on past experience. This new Warped thing is still absolutely unknown in almost every way no chance in hell they nab Porter for this
