Or picking up the slack from DC not selling out even though it's 1/2 the size of Orlando and Long Beach. Long Beach was so packed last year, maybe this will help decrease some foot traffic if people have a preference of one day over the other.
I don’t remember if they sold single-day tickets last year or not, but I can understand them not wanting to sell those blind. Way too many people would end up missing bands they’re paying to see. I am admittedly relieved as my biggest priorities are on two different days, so I know be able to catch them both.
Oh don’t get me wrong, both days also have the potential for scheduling conflicts from hell lol. But at least I can plan around those each day instead of worrying about them conflicting with each other.
I'm hoping I can catch these sets: Saturday: Jimmy Eat World, Reel Big Fish, Stand Atlantic, The Early November, The Story So Far, Underoath, Winona Fighter Sunday: Alexisonfire, Papa Roach, Third Eye Blind, Glassjaw, Motion City Soundtrack, Origami Angel, Taking Back Sunday, The Academy Is, The Starting Line, The Used, Thrice. I'm definitely gonna have tough choices on Sunday.
People online seem really mad about this, they are saying it ruins the fun, or mad that dc didn’t get this. very simple, this date didn’t sell as well as they hoped, so they are trying to get some more tickets sold.
They’d be more mad if they put up single day tickets from the jump just to find out who they wanted to see most is playing the other day lol
Advance parking reservations for the Pike Garage have opened up for Long Beach. $22 per day, walking distance to the festival grounds. I parked there last year and it was super convenient. https://www.lazparking.com/local/long-beach-ca/the-pike-outlets
What a lifesaver. The parking situation was starting to stress me out a bit, now it’s officially handled. I owe you one!
I'm thinking: Saturday - Arm's Length, Citizen, DGD, Phantom Planet, Underoath Sunday - Alexisonfire, Glassjaw, Lagwagon, Leisure Hour, Lower Definition, origami angel, Story of the Year
