    What a fun day. Super hot and sunny but survived. Mostly got to see everyone I wanted to today with just a couple of conflicts. Today was stacked for me, most of the bands i wanted to see played today. Definitely will be a bit of a lighter day tomorrow.

    Overall the day went smoothly. Lines for the water refill thankfully moved fast and short lines for food. I wish they had more areas to sit in the shade though. And rideshare pickup are was a mess leaving, but I guess what do you expect when thousands of people are leaving at the same time.

    Missing half of NFG to see Citizen would be a bummer, too.

    And thats a wrap.

    This pretty much met expectations. This wasnt a massively impressive lineup but it had a really good mix of warped veterans and new blood and that was pretty cool. I loved seeing new acts and sprinkling in a random suicidal tendencies and 3oh3 set the same weekend. Pretty eclectic from the punk > emo > hardcore scene .

    This wasn't about seeing any one or two specific bands. Ive seen almost everyone a billion times...but as an overall experience. It was almost perfect.

    The heat. The pits. The crowd. The energy was solid considering it all. There was some dumb drama with my friend group reminiscent of high school which fit the vibe too haha

    What a fun weekend. Insanely hot but wouldn’t be warped tour if it wasn’t. Had to leave a little early today so I missed Jimmy eat world and yellowcard, but I’ve seen both them before so wasn’t a big deal. Got to see most of the others I wanted to see and got to hear some new bands too that were fun.

    Just a classic warped tour that went great. Side note I was impressed with the food options, great variety and everything I got tasted good. Not sure how it compares to last year since I didn’t get to go.

    Best sets;
    1) The Paradox. Easily my favorite. Felt like 2001 for a new generation and I am FOR it. Gives me some hope for the future that this scene might still go on.
    2) American Hifi. Haha idk. Maybe it's because I wasnt dying yet but this was fun. Never seen them love and probably never will so doing a dumb circle pit to flavor of the week is excellent.
    3) gwar. Gutting and disembowling trump on stage and getting blood on the crowd. I mean. Lol thats gwar. Can I name any song they played? No but it doesn't matter.

    Worst sets;
    Carolesdaughter may have been the worst set of all time. What the fuck was that? She looks like she has went through something..i found a clip of her from 2021 and omg....its a completely different person. I dont wan a shit on her too bad because, yeah. I kinda feel bad. But this was a shit show. She was lipsynching to her pop punk songs (and way off timing so lol). And then she performed her new really really slow songs with 0 confidence, vaping, and disinterested. Only played 5 songs to a crowd of like 30 (half left after the first song because omg bad)

    Other bands I saw;
    - Menzingers. This is my friends favorite band so he had a blast. I was pissed because they didn't play LOOKERS!
    - Bayside. Typical "fine" show. That's how I feel like Bayside overall. I like them but they never go beyond a B level for me.
    - Glassjaw. Poor glassjaw. Had one of the smallest crowds. Daryl looked disinterested and over it but he can still sound great regardless.
    - Taking back sunday. Tradition continues. Ive never been in the pit for a tbs show ever lol I was tired and needed a break so wayched them from a table far away. Adam is clearly over it too at this point.
    - the used. 11th time seeing them. Solid but Bert yelling "we never broke up" with a new guitarist and not og drummer is rich
    - Millington. I REALLY want to love them but its just too much clearly nfg + LTJ. It literally sounds like their baby. Fun but mostly cause they were only ska band.
    - Daisy Grenade. sound mixing was terrible! Vocals were sooooooo low. The whole thing was low. They could've sounded great awful mixing.
    - mxpx and nfg always ♥️

    The mixing for the main stages on day 1 was also brutal wtf.

    Weirdly jealous after checking the schedule. And would have been pleasantly surprised with the lack of schedule conflicts!

    Saturday, I would have done Beebs, Free Throw, Codefendants, the Paradox, Suicidal Tendencies, the Menzingers, GWAR, Bayside, Glassjaw, Taking Back Sunday, Gym Class Heroes, Bad Cop/Bad Cop, and Rise Against.

    Sunday I would have done the Dollyrots, Set Your Goals, MxPx, Initiate, 3OH!3, New Found Glory, Drug Church, Lambrini Girls, Joyce Manor, Jimmy Eat World, and Yellowcard. A few I'd be sad to miss but nothing major.

    Sounds like it was well run and went off smoothly. I'm gonna keep a close eye on the DC date for next year because... If they keep this trend up next year will be even better!

    The heat was the major issue this year. That's easily the biggest complaint, which, isn't their fault obviously, but they could use more tents, cooling stations, ANYTHING to help. Hard to find shade. They would throw out water packs in the pits which was cool but cooling stations, hoses, sprays, would have gone a long way. A lot of people crapped out early and i don't blame them.

    It IS a summer tour in Washington DC so you gotta understand this could happen. It's only a high if 79 today in DC and sunny so womp.

    yeah that is really my only complaint too. I remember back 10 years ago when I’d go to warped tour they would have a mist tent to cool off. Definitely could have used some of that this weekend. Or just more areas with shade in general. That sun was brutal.

    everything else seemed to run smoothly. Sounds like there were some really long lines to get on Saturday but I got there early enough to where I didn’t deal with that issue. There were some audio issues on the Verizon/Eagle stages for a couple of the bands I saw, and I agree with the above that the mixing on the main stages day 1 was not great

    saw someone on Reddit post that they got an email that pre sale for DC in 2027 is this Friday. I haven’t gotten that email though

    yeah i think i saw they pushed that glow festival up a week and now it appears warped is pushed up a week to 19-20th. 2 day ga starting at $129 when it started at $149 for this year

    Agree about Glassjaw's set. They sounded great, but Daryl couldn't have cared less. Seen them like 10 times and you never know what version of him you're getting. Sometimes he's really into it and then sometimes it's...this.

    And Bayside is always decent. Get in, rock out, and get out. Very efficient lol. Thrice was one of my highlights but they also played to one of the smaller crowds of the fest. It's a shame because they performed a lot more heavy songs than I expected.

    just even last year, one of my two favorite bands of all time, but at the poison the well tour they were “fine” but then on the co headliner with STD, they were amazing, one of the best times I have ever seen them.

    Got tickets for next year in DC. I see people complain about the prices not being like they used to be but $130 including fees for a 2 day festival is a steal

    Did anyone else notice a significant drop off in online noise about DC this year? From what I heard attendance was lower. I think it was a really big deal that it was back, and im psyched it’s hopefully going to continue, but it felt markedly less social hype going on.

    I think it’s just a thing where a lot of people really made a big deal about it last year and then did it. I didn’t immediately go back not to say that they won’t go back over the next couple of years, but I mean let’s be honest money is tight right now plan a trip like that I’d say the lineup wasn’t as strong. It featured a lot of bands that have tour all year long so I mean, I think it still did good. I just think it didn’t have the height because it wasn’t as special

    There's probably a layer of DC being one of the less appealing events in the overall scheme. People who went to multiple would probably recommend Orlando or LB over DC, plus Montreal has enough cross-border clout too. It was hot and a bit gaudy but it was fun all around.

    I was at LB and it was super special last year. I’m so glad they’re finding a sustainable way to keep it going. It was so rad seeing parents bring their kids. Curious how the international ones go and if they expand cities.
