If 7 Across (AP Music Theory) is TRJA, then 5-down (Business in the front) would have to be formatted like (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ E _ _) which puts the E from Family Force 5 in the wrong place. So either one of the bands has to be incorrect, or the crossword maker would have made a typo.

 

but they aren’t five down, they are the PH one, when they started they were the Phamily

Here are my new (entirely unsubstantiated) guesses for the Long Beach lineup.

 

My two guesses to add on:

-Thrice is the name before Tillie

-The Offspring is one of the names between The Expendables and The Starting Line
