After seeing the ticket prices, there is no way Blink / No Doubt, etc will be booked. All of which I'm fine with.
They do if Insomniac is partnering with them. IIRC, Matt Watts is a VP at Vans. I’d expect The Starting Line on these.
Accidentally starting is Blink 182 playing/ within the budget debates. If it is mid size bands that fit the 30th anniversary of warped tour that's cool too.
I’m guessing the top line names will be in the realm of The Offspring, A Day to Remember, Sublime, The All American Rejects, AFI and Rise Against. Acts that do small arenas in some markets but mostly headline amphitheater packages. Middle tier will be acts like NFG, Yellowcard, Good Charlotte, Simple Plan and the like. This is all just wishful thinking of course
If you look at some of the bands commenting on the post: Red Jumpsuit, Sleeping With Sirens, Simple Plan, This Wild Life, Real Friends, State Champs, Mod Sun, Pennywise, Devil Wears Prada, The Ghost Inside.
I’ve seen members of H2O and Less Than Jake commenting too I will be shocked if LTJ doesn’t play this
I’m also curious if they’ll grab “older bands that could’ve done Warped but didn’t” for this lineup too. Kinda like how Jawbreaker played the 25th anniversary fest in 2019, despite the fact they never played a Warped Tour
Didn't they just do an arena tour? I'm surprised they aren't too big for Warped Tour. The dude is kind of a piece of shit, and weirdly obsessed with arguing with people who dislike him, but Watch the world is kind of sick live.
I dislike him but I caught his set at aftershock this past weekend and that pos knows how to put on a good show
I take back the "kind of" and yeah he does, it is a shame he is who he is. I love Aftershock and their lineups but four days is too much for me and the bands I want to see are usually spread out.
The he’s a piece of shit but puts on a good show crowd is just enabling this asshat. That’s no excuse to go see him live or support him in anyway. How about we don’t support problematic artists who are gigantic bigots?
He’s an abuser and massively homophobic/transphobic and the fact that people still give him a pass or only call him stuff like “kind of a piece of shit” doesn’t help. It’s frankly embarrassing, but not surprising with Lyman still at the helm, that the Warped Tour account replied to him in a glowing way especially after all the discussion that has popped up during the later years of Warped and post-Warped about the festival being grounds for abusers to get a platform and/or abuse others. You would think after all the chatter they would have realized they need to completely distance themselves from all the abusers and pieces of shit in the scene but like I said with Lyman still at the helm that was probably a pipe dream.
I’ve seen a few interviews with Kevin and he gets asked about things Fat Mike said on tour, or Fronz said and he always talks about how he wanted free speech on the tour. Which to an extent I agree with, but it’s the same argument as “freedom of speech” does not equal freedom of consequence warped should be a place of inclusion etc, and Ronnie falls into a category of not being accepting at all, he is racist, sexist, homophobe, transphobic, hits people when they fail or make a decision he doesn’t agree with. Had defended abusers, in my mind there is no place for him in this culture.
