Yeah the OG version of Shout The Truth still holds up very well! Agreed about Recover. Only decent track imo is Now or Never.
Confide was the first band of the day at my Warped date in 2010 and they were excellent live. They clashed with Attack Attack! so only like 50 people watched them.
The Warped socials have softened their stance too. It went from “This is it” pre AC to now they’re saying things like “Never say never, but we have no plans in the near future” types of response.
"Old friends" makes me think it's tour alums that have probably done the tour a lot. Every Time I Die would seem like a safe bet since they're done with the Mastodon/Coheed tour.
That would be my other guess. Or you know, knowing Kevin it'll be someone lame like Falling in Reverse.
Kevin tweeted that the band that is going to replace GC formed in 1994. Which gives me the idea of these bands Hatebreed Limp Bizkit (for the love of memes I want this to happen)
My guess is Goldfinger But if we want to keep speculating... Category:Musical groups established in 1994 - Wikipedia
I'm thinking New Found Glory. Doll Skin is on their tour that finishes up next week and was added to the Mountain View date as well. EDIT - Nevermind, didn't see the 1994 comment - NFG is '97. No idea now. I'd think they'd stay in the pop-punk category, so Goldfinger makes sense. MxPx's first record came out in '94 as well. EXTRA EDIT - Bowling For Soup formed in 1994. Their tour starts Sunday 7/21 in Seattle, but they're playing Berkeley about a week later. Probably not them.
