Doubtful regarding tickets, theres a limit in code with safety hazards. I assume itll just be another very well known band that maybe hasn't been popular in recent years as in AC there aren't so many older bands. But honestly theres absolutely no telling
Technically there's room to expand if they were to open up the other side of the pier, would just be a zoning/permitting headache (but I'd imagine AC would be open to that if it means more revenue).
A Day To Remember are big, don't get me wrong, but I don't think they are *as* big as some people think.
I think blink will play enema... maybe that's the announcement but maybe not... I could also see the special announcement being From First to Last's first east coast gig since reuniting with Sonny
Being from Florida and being a fan of all music. I would say in rock music adtr is huge. But in the grand scheme of all music I would say there basically a mid level artist. Adtr rarely plays arenas here. They mostly do small amps or like the hardrock here. And this is there homestate
ADTR last played a small arena here (9,000 capacity) and that seems to be the case elsewhere too. 311 last played the big amphitheater here on their tour with The Offspring. The point is that ADTR aren’t playing NBA sized arenas or big amphitheater’s like Blink and 311 have been.
Yes, ADTR played a 9,000 capacity room last year for their 15 year anniversary tour. Mind you, there was a stacked line up (Papa Roach, Falling In Reverse, The Devil Wears Prada) but still pretty impressive.
I think ADTR has a huge draw, and are clearly super popular due to their crossover appeal between different rock genres, but they aren't really relevant in the larger music ecosystem. They don't even sound like the other bands on their level (Breaking Benjamin, FFDP, Disturbed) and DEFINITELY don't sound like the bands on alternative radio (Cage The Elephant, Death Cab, Imagine Dragons, Cold War Kids) but somehow they found cobbling together a bunch of genres already on the decline, they became the posterchildren of Post-Hardcore, Metalcore, & Pop-Punk
TBH this shit was hot in 2007. For Those Who Have Heart and Homesick had everyone in high school going crazy.
I doubt this means anything, but Warped’s insta story has been covering Swanfest here in Anaheim today and they posted a video of Periphery Possible addition?
I feel like ADTR while overall not as big as 311, they are in terms of the warped crowd. Every year ADTR was the band that everyone was begging to play. Next to blink I don't think another band will have a bigger crowd than them.
ADTR will probably have the second biggest crowd of the weekend, but I still can't imagine 311's booking agent allowing them to not be the closer for their night. It'll be like Govball last year where Jack White was the headliner, but Post Malone played before him with a crowd that was twice the size.
That could be possible. They just finished up that mini east coast tour, so they could be in the clear to be announced now
