this lineup ain't bad, but nothing worth traveling for imo. good for the peeps who live in those respective metro areas.
is this gonna be like, a regular WT where everyone gets like 35 mins or are there going to be headliners for each day?
Not to be that person, but right now I only count 7 female acts on the AC lineup. And that's out of 52 confirmed acts so far. Would've been cool if they booked The Distillers, The Donnas or Joan Jett. Could've also brought back Tonight Alive and The Interrupters from last year. And I know it's an unpopular opinion here, but I would have loved if they were able to book Halsey. EDIT: I now realize that The Donnas have been on hiatus for a few years, and Joan Jett is playing another festival in Jersey this summer. I picked some bad examples!
I wonder when they are releasing info for pre and post party in AC. Im waiting to buy my ticket to find out if i have to buy VIP or those parties will sell tickets. Anyone know?
Kevin talked about this in a recent interview. Can't remember the specifics, but I think he said something like 30 minutes for day acts, 45 minutes for night, and 75 minutes for headliners.
assuming Blink & TBS will headline both days in AC - Blink being Blink, and TBS being on the big 20 year tour
I have been going to warped every year since 2001 and there has always always been plenty of heavy bands, you are incorrect.
Cant speak for the others, but I'm sure interrupters were THE first band he asked. He has always talked them up. And wish they got tonight alive, would have got them out to reschedule their canceled tour.
Okay, IMO, AC > MV, but BUT HOLY SHIT. MV’S LINEUP IS STILL AMAZING. I’m actually actually considering making the trip up north for this. Also, JAWBREAKER?! They fucking got JAWBREAKER?! Unreal!!! I already got to see them last yeag but WOW I CAN SEE THEM AGAIN! Guys, I’m so giddy and excited
Haven't been to or wanted to attend Warped Tour since 2003 (I am over 30) but I have to say I am impressed by the AC lineup.
i went to warped tour every year from 2001 to 2008 or so because it started turning into too many heavy bands for my taste after that. pre-2001 was also mostly punk/hardcore bands. so i guess you are incorrect too?
NOFX in their backyard seems likely, as does Thrice. Jawbreaker is big, but I suspect a good portion of the people attending don't really know much about them.
I'm glad I took the risk doing presale tickets for New Jersey. I definitely like the lineup better than cali, and 2 of my top 3 bands are playing (Trophy Eyes and Reel Big Fish). I'm down for this, and I'm traveling up from GA
