Warped Tour 2008 (in Orlando) was my first Warped AND my first show ever. Seeing this live is still one of the coolest concert experiences I've had. My only regret about that show is that I only saw four bands (The Academy Is..., Jack's Mannequin, Cobra Starship, and Say Anything) because I wasn't super familiar with a lot of bands at the time and I skipped a few others because I went with my friend and her mom. There were so many cool bands on that lineup that I found out about later (like Anberlin, who I fell in love with a few months AFTER Warped...)
I'm trying to decide where my alternate Warped date should be... I'm chosing between 7/21-Tinley Park, IL: It's close to me, but I'd have to fly out night-of to catch my next Warped date in time 7/28 - Wantagh, NY: I have family in NYC, and flights are cheap but it's in the middle of my work schedule, so I'd have to strategically plan out flights. Also I wanna see Silverstein play Warped one last time. 6/23 - Mountain View, CA: I have family there but it's super far out and I'd have to miss work to get to a cheap enough flight. But I'd get to see Dance Gavin Dance play a free show in Sacramento the night before.
New State Champs feels more Warped-esque (if not a tiny bit 5SOS-ish) I know they're gonna own the Journeys Stage
I think State Champs will probably have the biggest pull on most of the dates on the left foot stage at least
It’s so crazy to me how much State Champs have blown up. Like, just five years ago I watched them open for New Found Glory and met their singer after the show, and now they’re playing main stage again at Warped and getting way more popular. That’s rad, man
Yeah it'll probably be 1. State Champs 2. Less Than Jake 3. We The Kings 4. Mayday Parade 5. Simple Plan As the biggest drawing bands at most dates Although Asking Alexandria, BVB and Falling In Reverse will probably be huge draws at their respective dates too
If that’s Massachusetts only special guest besides Asking Alexandria, Thats kind of disappointing, But they still rock
