Where did you see this? I’m not finding it on MP or Rise social media at all, but I might not be looking in the right place.
It was addiction and alcoholism, I think he has simply decided to not go on the road anymore to stay clean. Honestly the member changes in this band have been ridiculous, even with just Alex left it was absurd, seems like they should have called it a day.
The insta post said he was in rehab for alcoholism, so can’t say I blame him for needing to remove himself.
TEI Courses announced Patty Walter's (As It Is) is doing a free one at 10 AM every morning on mental health with Hope For A Day
Think it's possible that more will be announced? Feels like that's not very many workshops compared to the past
45 Minute Q&A/Music Lessons with band members about whatever the artist decides to talk about. They're $25 + $3 Fees For example -Movements is doing one on songwriting -Matty Best (Tonight Alive) is doing drum lessons -Andy Biersack (BVB) is doing one on how to get into the music industry -Ben Biss (As It Is) is doing one on branding your band and being unique -Awsten (Waterparks) is just dicking around for 45 mins They also all include a group photo with your "classmates" and band member There's a full class list here: Workshops on the 2018 Vans Warped Tour
I did the Lisa Johnson workshop in 2016 and it was super cool. Basically she brought us all into the photo pits for two different bands and we got to photograph the bands with our own cameras. Then at the end she went through some of our photos and gave us critiques. We got to keep our pit wristbands and we got to photograph whatever bands we wanted all day, definitely worth the almost $30
Damn, that's sick. I'll reach out to some of my friends if she does that for this year, I'm sure they'd love to be able to use that.
Here's something neat I found back in the archives while trying to get more information for the Warped Tour Wiki. Apparently Drive-Thru Records may have had a set schedule for their stage during the 2002 tour and posted it well in advance of each show. It does say "Times Subject to Change" so I have no idea how set this really was. Kind of interesting to see some of the non-Drive Thru bands that wound up playing this stage though. DRIVE-THRU SUMMER INVASION
Sometimes I really wish I got into Warped earlier. I went to Ozzfest in 02 and 03. I didn't go to Warped until 2005.
This is live! $20 tickets! Not every date is part of it, but it's worth checking! $20 All-In Tickets Live Nation: National Concert Week I got two tickets for Cleveland, but Detroit wasn't part of it.
