That's what I thought too but the tour ended a couple days ago and nothing's been added. I think it's safe to say they'll just be doing those four and that's it.
2017 was definitely one of the best Warpeds I’ve been to. I was able to squeeze in a ton of bands into one day, and also got pretty good views/spots for each band without getting squished by moshers (god knows there’s no way I’m ever getting front row for Hatebreed again...). Of course, I am in the “music nerd” demographic you speak of, so maybe that’s why I enjoyed it so much.
I saw all these bands in my two dates. Definitely a really great lineup: Anti-Flag Bad Cop/Bad Cop Beartooth Big D & The Kids Table Blessthefall Boston Manor Counterparts Courage My Love Creeper Dance Gavin Dance [x2] The Gospel Youth Hands Like Houses Hawthorne Heights Jule Vera [x2] Knocked Loose Microwave Movements New Years Day Silverstein [x2] Stacked Like Pancakes Stick To Your Guns [x2] Trophy Eyes
Yeah, I had fun at 2017, despite not having a TON of bands to see. Yet though, years where there aren't a lot of high priority bands to watch are really underrated, tbh. It opens up big chunks of the day to explore, eat, rest, go to signings, and get merch at times with low-traffic.
2017 has arguably one of the best line ups in my opinion, I went to two dates and still ended up missing a few bands. I only had time to meet The White Noise and then briefly Doll Skin and Alestorm. This year will be rough because I have a ton of bands I want to see, but they’re all on different stages (as opposed to last year being that they were mainly on the Hard Rock and Skullcandy stages)
I have one of the tour shirts from that year, and an ADTR shirt. I'll post some pics later? I'm not home right now.
Chase Atlantic just released a new song and... wow. I can't imagine this potent and dark going over well at Warped, but damn, I can't wait to hear it.
2017 was one of the 2 or 3 best lineups in my 13 years of going imo. The average Warped kid probably didn't realize how cool it was to have GWAR, Municipal Waste, Sick Of It All, Adolescents, etc. on the tour though. So the low ticket sales aren't shocking.
I get a very the weeknd vibe from it and I dig it. Wish they were playing my date. Seems like they are the Bebe Rexha, Gin Wigmore, Mike Posner, Katy Perry of this year.
So Ticketmaster has Chase Atlantic on Tampa and West Palm dates. I’m hoping this is true. I know they are playing Lollapollza on the Orlando date and Ticketmaster doesn’t have them listed on that date. So I think they got added to Tampa and West Palm
Bryan garris from knocked loose was tweeting at spencer chamberlin from underoath saying he's excited to see him at the chicago date. Underoath only plays a few dates a couple days before the Chicago date, anyone think they could be added to a few more?
Kind of ironic that Kevin is stressing about drug addiction/opioid epidemic but then puts Chase Atlantic on the tour that clearly talk about using drugs in their songs.
Lmao, true Although they talk about the dark impact of drugs of people in their lives too, but still But also, Kevin doesn't care a fuck who he books from a moral standpoint, he just wants the money (No disrespect to what he's done for the scene, but it's pretty well-documented)
That is true but I’m happy they are on. I’m kind of surprised no one has told me to listen them because of how much I’ve mentioned Blackbear in here. They give me a Blackbear mixed with The Weeknd feel. I honestly that they were pop punk until I listened to them lol.
Hahahahaaaaaa, funny you mention that pop-punk thing They went from being a 5SOS-esque pop-punk act, to The 1975 wannabes to straight-up hip-hop influenced indie-pop The 1975 wannabe era: Beginning of Indie-Pop era:
The 1975 vibes aren’t to bad but the hip hop /indie pop mix are my favorite. But how old are these guys? They look young as fuck.
Not talking about drugs at all is a pretty bad attitude to have. They're a part of the real world. No need to refrain from singing about them.
