So 2 shows are coming to town. 1) The Matches and 2) Rise Against, AFI, and Anti-Flag. I dont know if i should go to these 2 and sacrifice warped, simple plan and picturesque. Thoughts?
I'd go to Warped, especially if Rise Against is in an ampitheatre instead of a proper auditorium/mini-arena, BUT if Simple Plan is really a main draw for you to go to Warped then I feel you'd get more value going to Rise Against regardless.
I'd be stoked to see The Matches, but I'd feel dumb missing the final Warped even if I didn't like the lineup. The tour has shaped my taste for a long time.
What's the general feel on The Gospel Youth now that they kicked their singer out? Are they gonna drop or still play?
They were never supposed to play the tour this year. Someone said they had a tour planned for fall but I'm not sure if that's even gonna happen still.
Sam (the guy that was kicked out) told me they were coming back over here in June, but it hadn't been announced officially yet. Glad he's gone though, hopefully they can find a different singer and come back eventually.
I hope so. Hopefully this gains them a little support for doing the right thing and kicking him out compared to some others...
No rise against for a surprise in Chicago they are playing a show in Syracuse with a7x and three days grace
The closer it gets, I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that Killswitch Engage is a guest for 7/25-7/28. As of now, those dates only have 7 bands on Mutant White vs. 10 bands on Mutant Red. They have an opening in their schedule that week and one of the dates is their home state. I'm probably being far too optimistic, but that would be badass. They're in the UK on 7/31 but they are open for the rest of July.
Band-Maid are playing Warped Tour Japan this weekend? Fuck. I wish they'd play America aside from two convention appearances.
Some clarification. Apparently the #Transform Stage is actually going to be on ALL dates. The bands I posted the other day are just on those specific dates. A few will be making the trip out to Cali for the first 4 shows as well. They're also running a sweepstakes for a chance to play the stage Vans Warped Tour Transform Stage
So there's 2 stages of mostly local bands? Kinda cool for the bands I guess but I wonder how many people will watch
No one. Those stages are always empty. A Skylit Drive headlined one of those stages a few years ago, which meant nothing because they're A Skylit Drive.
