I watched All Time Low at Jingle Ball (only went for Camila Cabello, judge me) and they only played newer stuff I’ve never heard. If they play older stuff on Warped, I’d see ‘em.
My first Warped Tour was in 2003. I remember watching Poison the Well, Glassjaw, Dropkick Murphys, Sum 41, Simple Plan, Pennywise, Andrew W.K., and the Used that day. It would be really special if one of those bands played on the last Warped Tour. I don't listen to most of them anymore (really just PTW and Glassjaw, who definitely won't be on the tour), but I would probably watch their set anyway simply for the feels of getting to see them play the same festival 15 years apart.
So I know this was already made official in the prediction thread, but Kevin properly announced today that there will be other bands announced from now until the tour starts (and some not announced until day-of)
For that kind of an event, all I'd really expect for them to play is stuff from the new record. At Warped, there's definitely going to be an equal mix.
there's a lot of bands that i consider to be "warped tour bands." bands that have a special place in my old warped tour heart. bands that i saw in my early years of going to warped that made memories that have stuck with me. bands that i've only seen on warped tour (maybe even a handful of times now) and not on their own club tours when they come here, for whatever reason. i'm hoping that at least a few of those bands play so i can raise my cup of warm water to them as they play at warped tour for the last time. (assuming i even go... haha)
IF ATL is on this would be a cool way for them to bring the SWIR set to people who weren't able to make it out to those shows
I'm still trying to figure out where I'll be living this summer. Hopefully I can make it to two dates, but I'll certainly make 1. Either gonna be near NYC, DC, or Richmond. Any advice on any of the venues near there (Columbia, MD, VA Beach, etc)? Only date I've ever been to is Scranton.
I went into it expecting that, but still kinda hoped for Dear Maria at least, haha. I loved SWIR back in the day. Sweet, depending on the schedule at my date, I may check them out.
I saw ATL at a tree lighting in Austin, Tx this past Christmas time (it was an acoustic set) and they played a mixture of all the albums. It was really nice to hear from each album.
Fred Durst is gonna pull out a paper with all the bands during Break Stuff then throws it into a shredder.
I personally love the Columbia location at merriweather.. Disclaimer tho havent been since 2015 so I hope nothing changed. The main stages were in a large field split in half alternating. Monster stage was also in a large secluded area with some wooded area. Amphitheater house two smaller stages split and alternating. Plenty of Parking either at the mall or on site. Waiting in line sucks tho
Do you go through the main entrance? I did that the first couple years, then I found the back entrance which is way faster.
I was funneled in a direction by staff after parking but it was definitely a back entrance not the big tree lined main ...we got there a little after doors opened tho so maybe it was just bad timing
ATL is probably going to play their top SWIR songs in a special set for the people complaining about it not being a full tour.
