I guess As It Is fell off the rails in America since Patty stopped doing Youtube so he lost his "celebrity" draw
It’s kind of a stretch but Blackbear posted on twitter asking if he should play some dates of this years tour and Kevin tweeted back saying he would save him a spot at a date or two. If he happens to play and play Tampa or West Palm he would easily be my new number one. He is from Florida so it might be a possibility but I’m not getting my hopes up.
For some reason, I kept thinking Harm’s Way were on the whole thing. Now I realized they’re not and I’m mad, lol. Oh well, that just opens up a spot on my list of bands I wanna see.
Here's my preliminary top 15 for the Cuyahoga Falls and Minnesota dates. The bands exclusive to CF get top priority for me because I'll have a 2nd chance for the others, but that doesn't mean I think they are better than the others. I still need to go through all the bands. Not missing for anything: - Underoath (CF exclusive) - Knocked Loose (CF exclusive) - Silverstein (CF exclusvie) - Deez Nuts - Unearth - The Amity Affliction Likely to see: - Issues - Asking Alexandria - Harm’s Way Less Likely to see: - Four Year Strong - Every Time I Die - Less Than Jake - Real Friends Unlikely to see: - Sharptooth - Motionless In White
I would assume any dates announced are final unless something happens where a band has to drop a date
I just listened to Dead Girls Academy, they only have one song on iTunes but it’s really good! I’m gonna have to try to check them out for sure this summer
Their not that great live, Sound was bad at a decent venue, Everyone else sounded great, They just didn’t play good
So me and my girlfriend might be in California (we're from the UK) at the time of Warped and are thinking of going to one of the dates. I think the lineup is kinda weak but it'll be a fun experience.
I have been to the Ventura date in California, it was a good day and even with a weak lineup on paper you will easily see enough decent bands to make it worth the trip.
Yeah we dunno if we're going Ventura or Mountain View yet, but it should be fun. At this point State Champs, Real Friends, The Used, All Time Low, Grayscale, Don Broco, Trash Boat, and the Maine are all I'm interested in from the cali dates but it will still be fun.
Thinking of that date reminded me of the fact that when watching Street dogs on one of the side by side stages their crowd was quite small and the next stage was packed ready for Go Radio to start so Mike just climbed over and performed to their crowd whilst the band sound checked behind him. (it was a lot better than my description of it) It also provided us with one of our favourite photos from our honeymoon
Yeah, you'll honestly probably not be able to see more than 9 full bands in a day, so that's totally enough to warrant going Plus, Don Broco are far bigger over there than they are here (in America) so you'll get to see them in a much more intimate environment
Yeah, we have something similar to this over here in the UK called Slam Dunk (I'd argue with a better lineup), but I thought Warped sets were very short compared?
Yeah, Warped doesn't have headliners so all bands play the same amount of time at a random time of day It's just that since there are only 2 or 3 bands playing at a time and you have to wait a few minutes early for the next band to go on if you want a chance at getting anywhere close to the stage, and all the times are staggered (one band could play from 4:45 to 5:15 while another plays from 5:00 to 5:30 so you'd have to make a decision which full set you'd rather see) Also just there's a lot of stuff going on with the non-profit booths, contests, and you for sure need food. Most the bands do free Meet & Greets too.
kind of love when there's a band i want to see and zero crowd. innerpartysystem were killer back in 09 even though few people were around for it, and i thought hundredth were rad too. low pressure and chill
I saw them at a music festival in September and they put on an awful live show, no one is missing out on anything
