What's everyone's thoughts on The Interrupters? I'm not vibing to them at all but I feel like I should like them
Loving them to be honest, but I was a fan of Aimee Allen years ago, just this week re discovered her because of this.
Idk, I feel like this year is gonna feel awkwardly small. Only 3 stage set-ups, Main Stage is primarily dissolving nostalgia acts (Simple Plan, 3OH!3), Mutant Stages have no "big" acts like blessthefall or GWAR, and generally all the acts were super predictable. I've heard of all these bands before, which isn't really the best for discovery. And I don't hate Warped, or the lineup, but I'm worried that this year may just end the tour with a resounding "meh". I just hope this year does well.
Motionless In White and Every Time I Die are both pretty big. Both bigger than BTF Also there aren't a ton of nostalgia acts on the MN date - The Interrupters, Knuckle Puck, State Champs, Four Year Strong, Issues, Real Friends etc I mean it isn't the best date but there's plenty of good bands imo
Scranton's Full Sail lineup is looking decent. Circuit Of Suns, Downswing, and Stone Clover are all solid.
Any chance Title Fight could be a guest for Scranton or did they permanently write it off after their last run?
For Pittsburgh at least its 2 local bands, I imagine that's how it is for all of the dates which is why you probably haven't heard of them haha
Back in the old days there was always a "Locals Only" stage. It eventually evolved into the Kevin Says Stage. Once they scaled things back it was just easier to book 12-14 bands doing larger chunks than having literally over 100 bands fill a stage, especially when you had all of those Ernie Ball battle of the bands winners too. So the Owly.fm stage is more like what Kevin Says became/what Full Sail had been over the last couple of years while this year's Full Sail is more of a throwback to the old days.
The Amity Affliction is pretty big too. I feel like Ice Nine Kills, Crown The Empire, and Chelsea Grin will draw pretty well too.
Thanks @redwing91007 for that playlist, that saved me a lot of time and effort! After listening to a couple songs from each band I’m not familiar with, i think my Warped band lineup breaks down like this... PRIORITY Waterparks All Time Low The Maine Every Time I Die Simple Plan Four Year Strong Reel Big Fish Taking Back Sunday This Wild Life TIME PERMITTING As It Is Kublai Khan Trash Boat Real Friends Knuckle Puck Issues Mayday Parade The Used Doll Skin Deez Nuts Sleep on It Bought my ticket for the Ventura date, but debating extending my trip to California and getting one for Pomona as well.
