Checking out Dayseeker, Sharptooth, Movements and Broadside is making me going to have to change my list up.
Considering that last year they didn't announce the lineup until late March, I feel like there's still a good chunk of bands that are playing the full tour but they're just waiting another month to announce them when spring tours are mostly over. I went to a Senses Fail show and near the end Buddy said "We'll see y'all again really soon. A lot sooner than y'all think." Which definitely sounds like a Warped hint
I feel ya 100% but I'm one of those who are not happy with only having 5 bands to enjoy. Also the reason I haven't gone since 2009. Back in the day there were always like 10-12 bands I was absolutely dying to see all in one day. You would always have to sacrifice one because they were playing the same time as someone else you love. I don't go to warped to discover bands. Never have. I go to regular shows for that. Warped to me is a collection of everything you love in one spot and having the best day of your year. 5 bands just doesn't do that for me unless it's like NFG, Rancid, Alkaline Trio, Less Than Jake and Saves The Day all at my date.
Could not agree more! Also, I think sometimes people don't consider enough where the bands are in their careers when viewing the lineup. It's really easy to look back with on a year like 2009 that had All Time Low, Underoath, A Day To Remember, and even Paramore with a surprise show, and think that was a big year because those bands all found major success later. But the reality is that State Champs is in a similar place career-wise now, to where ATL was in 2009. The same could be said for many other current bands that have rough analogs to past bands that found success after playing the tour for a year or a couple of years. I totally understand griping about the lineup if it doesn't suit you, that's fine. As much as I love ATL or Underoath though, I'm personally more excited about the up and coming bands that are going to keep these genres alive. The beauty of Warped for me has always been seeing a few standby bands I love, along with a bunch of new bands that I might end up liking just as much, in one awesome whirlwind of a day (for only like $50 too). Just my two cents, feel free to disagree.

I agree, many bands I listen to was because we bumped into them walking around warped and we wouldn't have been surprised by some bands that play an amazing set but would have never listened to their music otherwise. Although simple plan is really the only band I won't skip. There are about 7 bands I would re-watch and about 5 I would like to check out, and this pretty much stacks up my day. 100 plus weather here we come.
Have you seen that clip of them recording the vocals to that song with Kurt Vallou? Absolutely mindblowing.
Yes!! People always look at 2005, with Fallout Boy and MCR, but don’t realize that both of them had barely started achieving mild success at the time
Yeah FUTCT was only like a month old when Warped ‘05 started. I liked them but I remember being surprised at how big of a crowd they had that year.
