Nashville got a little screwed but at the same time so many bands are out of Nashville so I wouldn’t be surprised if we end up getting a good special guest or two. I mean I’m pumped we get the used but bowling for soup we got last year and I already saw them then so I don’t want to see them again. I would have gladly traded them to get phinehas, hail the sun and under oath or August burns red, but at the same time we are one of four dates that get knocked loose so I can’t complain about that. Must see as it stands now (may change with me listening over the weeks and months to come) and based on my date (would be way different if we got August burns red or under oath, phinehas or hail the sun): Must see: Reel big Fish The used Don Broco Trash boat Knocked loose Would like to see: This wild life The Maine Simple plan The amity affliction Kublai khan Gray scale Sleep on it Sharptooth If I have time: Movements (since I saw them last year) Ice nine kills (since I saw them 2016) Wage war (since I saw them 2016) Harms way Broadside Capstan
haha i have awful taste in music? well, you don't know what my music taste is, but i guess we can agree to disagree?
this wild life is fine, i havent listened to them in like two years though. real friends is starting to grow on me i think. realized i hadn’t listened to the new knuckle puck album yet and was thinking i did but maybe it was neck deep? i’m starting to get all these bands confused now.
Here's a playlist that my friends and I made if yall are interested, it's mostly the pop punk bands but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'll be making a playlist full of the Warped sets of all the bands I like (so a lot of them) on the Minneapolis and Cleveland dates. Exceptions will be Asking Alexandria, Less Than Jake and Silverstein since they are playing first or second time on those dates. I'll probably use another festival setlist for those I made one for 2017 and it had like 10 hours of music
If y’all ain’t seeing The Maine, y’all are throwing your money down the drain. And, no, I did not mean for that to rhyme.
Okay I guess to be fair I sounded like a dick there and your right I don’t know your musical taste but it just seems like this is like most other warped tour years so I guess I wasnt sure why you stuck around because if you didn’t like this years then you probably haven’t liked it for a while is all. I don’t stick with something the disappoints me year after year lol
I went to every Warped Tour from 2002 to 2009 and then I went again in 2012, but haven't been back since. So yeah, in my opinion, it's been a mostly shitty lineup for the past few years, so I haven't been sticking with it. I was just hoping they were going to go out with a bang this year and include a lot of the older bands that I grew up seeing there, such as NOFX, Lagwagon, Bad Religion, Pennywise, Unwritten Law, Anti-Flag, and even bands like Descendents and Quicksand. But yeah, there's a few older bands this year, but all the bands I'd really want to see this year either aren't playing my date or I've already seen multiple times so it's hard to really justify going when there's only like 5 bands I want to see.
A lot of the older bands won't do Warped Tour because they're older. Some of them can't deal with that kind of touring anymore. That's why you've never seen Pennywise or Bad Religion on the tour for years.
Columbia MD & 1 other unspecified date: Must See- Grayscale As It Is State Champs This Wild Life Broadside Simple Plan Mayday Parade Want to see: Waterparks Tonight Alive Four Year Strong Sleep On It Real Friends If time: Knuckle Puck With Confidence 3OH3 We the Kings
Due to the raving reviews of Movements & Trash Boat I will check them out and can imagine I’ll be into them as well.
the maine and grayscale are the ones i'm most interested in seeing right now and i've already seen them before
Most people would say Wanderlust and We'rewolf, if you want some good oldies go for Ebolarama and Floater. Map Change fron their latest is fantastic too. Honestly there's so much to choose from them. Forget that other one I accidentally replied to haha
They're so fucking sick. Next to The Maine, they're my #1 full band tour. Check out The Coin Has a Say, Glitches, Map Change, We'rewolf, No Son of Mine, Floater, Underwater Bimbos from Outerspace, Bored Stiff, and The New Black!
Also, I know that Underoath was listed as a Monster Band on the big board but I just went to the website and they're listed under Journey's Left Foot.
Now as long as Underoath doesn't conflict with Silverstein or Knocked Loose in Cleveland I'll be a happy camper.
Oh shit that's the date I'm going! I'm going because those three skipped MN, I'd be really angry if KL and Underoath conflict THIS IS WHY WE NEED SCHEDULES
