Oh they don’t. ADTR addressed that in an AMA a long time ago, they’re totally fine now. I just suggested they’re not playing that last week to open a Main Stage spot for ADTR to play the FL dates.
I highly recommend ya'll check out Grayscale if you haven't already-- their recent album Adornment is amazing, 10/10.
So I just listened to this new Movements record and, did they used to be a yelpy-kind of metalcore band like Counterparts? Because I swear I thought they sounded like that at one point so I avoided them, and I listened to their new record and it sounds GREAT. I'd probably see them now.
I plan on going to Nashville and West Palm Beach and to be honest, I don't know how I feel about the lineup. It's a typical Warped Lineup so I'm not really surprised I'm feeling kinda meh about it. There are a couple of nostalgia factors in there but I'm kinda over the Warped nostalgia train (maybe it's good that it's the last year then). Must Sees Every Time I Die (can't miss an ETID set EVER) The Amity Affliction (love these guys and it's always great to see them) The Used (some of that good-ole nostalgia that I don't hate) Simple Plan (never seen them) Would like to see Wage War (their new album blew me away) Knocked Loose (I'm really loving these guys) Deez Nuts (I dont think these guys come to the states very often) Less Than Jake (one of the best Warped vets to see (IMO)) 3Oh!3 (never seen them) Might see if time The Maine (I'm seeing their headliner next month so they're not a must) Motionless in White (classic Warped Band) August Burns Red (another classic Warped band) State Champs (just a solid sounding band and Derek is a really nice guy) Bowling for Soup (never seen them) In Hearts Wake (that good-ole Byron Bay hardcore scene) Movements (need to listen to more of them) MyChildren MyBride (why not?)
My bad, I never saw the AMA. In comparison to how big of a FYS fan I am, I’m not huge on ADTR so I’m out of the loop.
Not really, Pat screamed a lot more on the EP but it's not something that I would compare to Counterparts
They toured together once, I think around when Homesick came out, suddenly ADTR blew up and became far bigger than Four Year Strong, so they were being pushed to get a higher spot on the bill: FYS didn't like that. I think the internet made it bigger than it was. It's rumored FYS' "Paul Revere's Midnight Ride" was written about it, and ADTR's "2nd Sucks"
I believe it was during NFG's Easycore tour. ADTR was direct support, and FYS would have had to give up time in their set for a longer ADTR set.
I love Blossom. IN years before I went to Cincy but last year I went to Blossom and it was such much better. I'll be going back there this summer.
Now that I've had time to process the lineup a bit, it looks like I'll be hitting 3 dates: Holmdel, Hartford (@thisisnotbrianm) and Toronto. The Holmdel and Hartford dates have the same lineup as of now but TO get sum 41, Silverstein and Underoath - all must sees. Here's where I'm at with the lineup. Must see at all dates Movements Simple Plan ETID Sum 41 Underoath Silverstein Want to see Bowling for Soup Knuckle Puck Reel Big Fish State Champs This Wild Life Four Year Strong Issues The Maine Real Friends The Amity Affliction Sharptooth Wage War In Hearts Wake Broadside Capstan Will see if I have time Everyone else but you won't catch me anywhere near Falling In Reverse, Don Broco or With Confidence - fuck those guys.
Must see - all of these are in my top 10 bands: Knuckle Puck State Champs Four Year Strong The Maine Want to see: Broadside (just really fun pop-punk) Sleep on It (saw them open for FYS, haven't checked out the new album but they're great) Every Time I Die (no explanation necessary) Movements (I love this band, they were great with KP, have their setlist hanging on my wall) Wage War (fun metalcore, not a huge fan or anything) Real Friends (never seen these dudes surprisingly, considering all the pop-punk shows I go to but they're fun) As It Is (not a huge fan but would be cool) Mayday Parade (literally just for Jamie All Over)
I haven't been keeping up with this thread too well but a more "local" (I guess? Not too sure how to classify them) band posted that they're playing the Full Sail stage for a few dates. I wonder if that stage is going to be reserved for smaller bands that are local to the area each day?
I'm definitely going to hit CLE and MI this year. Too many bands I want to see Must See: Less Than Jake Every Time I Die Knocked Loose Silverstein State Champs Movements Underoath Want To See: Four Year Strong The Maine Reel Big Fish Simple Plan Bowling For Soup Harms Way The Interrupters Maybe: Real Friends Knuckle Puck Mayday Parade Grayscale 3OH!3 (lol) Twiztid (lmao)
I was thinking the same thing, maybe it’s gonna go off as a side stage so they can get some fans waiting for the owly stage bands
Must See(Hartford) Motionless in White Every Time I Die The Amity Affliction Real Friends Knuckle Puck Four Year Strong Movements Trash Boat The Interrupters Must See’s at other dates(Mansfield, Camden and West Palm) Less Than Jake BFS Silverstein Will probably see if I have time between the four dates: Simple Plan We The Kings The Maine Grayscale State Champs Issues Reel Big Fish If Nothing else is going on: 30h!3 Nekrogoblikon
Not enough people are getting on the Trash Boat bandwagon. Go check them out before they become the next big thing in the pop punk scene.
Alright, I'm going to ask for some assistance on this Warped line up. So as far as my music taste, I'm a nostalgia person, so the bands I listen to really never change and I have no idea who the hell most of these bands are. Since all the bands I cared to see are either only playing CA or not playing at all, could some of you help recommend some of the bands on the line up? I want to go for the final year, but I don't want to not know anyone. My normal playlists include All Time Low, Paramore, Panic at the Disco, Set It Off, MCR...stuff I grew up with in high school HAHA. No Simple Plan, We The Kings or Bowling For Soup as recommendations as I've seen these 3 about a million times and aren't a huge selling point for me. I'm not huge on the screamy/growly stuff as I cannot understand a damn word they say. I'm currently trying to put together a Spotify playlist for me to become more familiar with some of these bands. Thank you guys in advance. Old lady here needs more options LOL.
State Champs, The Maine, Grayscale, not sure if Sleep On It is playing your date but you may like them as well, Trash Boat, Broadside, Real Friends, Tonight Alive, and maybe give Movements a try, Pat screams on the songs but the lyrics are really awesome
Awesome! Thank you so much. I'll be going to the 7/7 San Antonio date so I'll miss out on Sleep On It, but I'll definitely check them out anyways.
